Hi guys seems like BCT have a new update.i don't know what merit on my profile.what does it mean?

Its like a commendation but a bitcoin version. In order to get merit you need to reply a valuable post or your reply must be appropriate and commendable here in bitcoin. To make it easy to under stand you just need to reply a meaningful and helpful post.

It is a great update in this way we can guarantee that every post made is useful for the community. Every member will post quality post only.  The one who post very well will be rewarded by merits. Not every post can be monitored by the campaign so their job will be distributed to everyone, we will be held responsible for the members who do not have quality post.

There are just some loop hole in it, members that know each other might exchange merits.

yes, merit is a good strategy, and it demands us to improve the activity and quality of our posts, meaning that we are active in forums to provide solutions, build up for good growth in forum and benefit other members, not spam.

I agree with you that this is a great disadvantage for beginners!
Many beginners join in here, the knowledge study is not very sufficient, their reply to others to add merit is more likely than some senior members of the possibility is much lower!

I Think this merit system will bring a good result for justifying the writing quality. It will also be useful for selecting for the purpose of the signature campaign. So that Merit system will bring a positive result in this system. I think this is a fantastic initiative for this Bitcointalk platform.

Well new merit system isn't good for me.they might sell their merit to newbies without doing anything and in there's so many scammer now.
