There is a ton of spam in the Bitcoin Discussion area right now, I am not entirely sure of whats going on or if member numbers have just increased due to price, it is quite funny seeing them being aware of the new system and then completely ignoring it.

Maybe some people ignoring the new system   but i though i'm the only one who recognized  what is merit haha.i will not going post again like this and i will read the news after posting like this hehe.

This Merit is a good idea, So that no spammers will rank up until they do some constructive post. But I think Merit will affect those members with low ranks like newbie and Jr.Members. Since they are low level ranks, they are often ignored by higher ranks. So it means, although they already reached the required post count to rank up. They will not rank because the merit point count is not enough/reached the points needed in order to rank up because even if they do costructive post. They are often ignored. What do you think guys?

Ps. But I really do Love the Merit System of the forum.

I Think this merit system will bring a good result for justifying the writing quality. It will also be useful for selecting for the purpose of the signature campaign. Nah, if you post honestly and have something worth reading people won't care about the rank, they'll merit you up.

That is just my opinion. But I do agreed to you Sir. I just hope that everything's go well according to the forum's plan.

 But one more thing that I hate is those scammers around this forum   With those bunch of scammers, this forum will remains unsafe for me That is just based in my experience. I've been scammed so many times   And still trying to catch up to earn bitcoins.

I agree with you that this is a great disadvantage for beginners!
Many beginners join in here, the knowledge study is not very sufficient, their reply to others to add merit is more likely than some senior members of the possibility is much lower!
This is cruel to the novice!

Also there is a possibility that some members here in the forum do sell their merit points for bitcoins or something. If those kind of activities do exist. My best solution for those activities is to automatically ban members that will be caught selling merit points.

Merit is a form of reward for meaningful posts. Everyone in the comment section have already explained it. My insight about this new update is positive. This will reduce nonsense posts and will encourage people to post stuffs that have sense. This is a fair move for participants of signature campaigns who really exert effort on their writings. Competitions will get even. This is a great improvement in the bitcoin community and I am hoping that I will see less nonsense posts from now on.
