Right now Eth has been growing potentially higher than that of bitcoin. This doesn't mean that bitcoin will be overcome by ethereum. In terms of market capital Eth might grow higher than that of bitcoin, but in terms of pricing it won't reach bitcoin. More projects getting existence on ethereum platform adds more potential to Eth.
Growing doesn’t matter at all mate the thing is eth will never reach to the price of bitcoin because bitcoin is name of belief and people investing in it still it has low values as compared to past because they have surety that bitcoin will rescue them and it will save them from every economic crisis, eth is also good but don’t say like this bitcoin is king of crypto and all these are like kids and ethereum will be going down soon. That is what he said lol, it seems like you just misunderstand it, he clearly said that ethereum is next to bitcoin but will never overcome bitcoin. I agree that ethereum is next to bitcoin when it comes to price and security, the price of ethereum is continuously rising and the rumor is the price of ethereum will be tripled this year, so wait for it guys, and I know bitcoin's price will rise up too. |

Ethereum is next to BTC?
it seems that it is very difficult because ETH also has a lot of supply that many make ETH price is still very cheap, different if the total supply of ETH lot then ETH will become very expensive like bitcoin. |

I have thought, maybe ethereum will be able to beat the market price bitcoin but it may need a long time, as a comparison the price of both now very much. It will take time but not so much because now it is not hard to get all what we need as people got skills and knowledge for me bitcoin is really strong but yeah if the use will be less than now then maybe in future more currencies will also rise. We need to increase the use of bitcoin in our daily life as well so it will increase and grow the fame of bitcoin which will directly affect the price of bitcoin, it will rice more and more. |

I do not think if the value of ETH will exceed the current value of bitcoin, although ETH including altcoin is quite potential but the value ratio is still very much, and it feels heavy if ETH can grow so fast to pursue bitcoin values. at least not, not in the near future. |

For me,i agree that ethereum have to take a long way to go in order to replace bitcoin. Probably Eth will be next to BTC but not to replace it.Because of that we should know that Bitcoin is a currency while Ethereum is a token. |

BTC is by far the biggest. ETH will take so much time coping up to be at the same level. However, it's really not impossible for ETH to become successful as BTC. It will be next to BTC but it can never go above it. BTC is currency and ETH is a token. |

Eth may grow this year, but the price will not beat bitcoin, because bitcoin is the most popular type of digital currency. Although the current price movement of Eth is able to increase slowly but will not shift the position of bitcoin. |

After looking at the current slow growth of the bitcoin I’m sure that many people will start switching to the ETH like currency because it’s really fast in transaction as well as having very low fees. In addition to that I can just see the downfall of the bitcoin while on the other hand altcoins or more specifically ETH is showing some green signal in its rise. The whole thing is pointing out towards, go for the ETH and that’s the future you have got. ! So let’s be it and start moving with the crowd.  |

Theres a huge potential for ETH to reach .5BTC or even 1 ETH= 1BTC. Just think of this, ETH is powered by hundreds of ERC20 alts. Just try to imagine if these coins doubles, tripples in the next few years. This would make ETH a huge or bigger than BTC. I just created this thread to gather opinions ..

It's not far out what you're thinking. Currently, ETH is doing strong against BTC price. They are holding they're price above $1000 and their dips were not that far. BTC will have to up its game if they don't want to be overtaken.

It is really a big challenge to etherium to exceed bitcoin's price. As we can see, although bitcoin's price is down in the floor. Etherium can't catch up to its price. It is because no matter how etherium rises its price everyday, bitcoin will remains the first to all crypto currency because bitcoin is more valuable than etherium and all other digital currency, and etherium will be just always second to it. If you still believed that etherium will exceed bitcoin. Well, it will take too long before that happen. |

I believe that ETH is next to BTC because btc is the father of crypto currency and ethereum maybe the mother but I don't think ethereum can reach what btc reach last year,maybe this can be happen but we need to wait for long time.

I think the price of ETH will not exceed the BTC price but its growth I think can exceed BTC. can you see in CMC the fall in the price of btc is much higher than ETH so yes there is a possibility of ETH being in position 1, well that's just my prediction  |

it could happen if the ETH has an advantage over bitcoin and seems to require a very long time because the current ETH total supply is also still much different from bitcoin because all the goods that the total supply is still a lot of the price can not be expensive. but if for the delivery process and cooperation with some startup ETH has started to grow and hopefully can beat bitcoin. |

ETH and BTC are going to be the giants of this space. When everything else fails, rest assured, these two will stick around. There is no doubt in existence of bitcoins in this planet but there are more chances for the Eth to exist among all the altcoins. There is nothing bad about these bath till now and they are getting popular day by day. Bitcoins have chased the extreme ratings from the users within short time span and same is happening with ETH. Good things come to these two shining flickers of the crypto world. |

BTC to ETH it does not have half the BTC so my perspective is still BTC.

Well yes, no question about it that ethereum would be the next crypto currency but it doesn't mean it will surpassing the value of bitcoin because that is impossible to predict. |
