Looks like Ganicanz is being a dickhead (again): they've edited one of their posts to include (homographic) phishing links. Be careful with the below BBCode, I'm only including it here for anyone that's curious. (I've reported the post and I'm guessing it'll be deleted soon.) Original BBCode (March 09, 2023, 09:37:04 AM): [quote author=Ganicanz link=topic=2827109.msg61881923#msg61881923 date=1678354624] chipmixer + cryptomixer + wasabi wallet = best choice fox mix your coins 8) [/quote] Edited BBCode (March 24, 2023, 08:44:59 PM): [quote author=Ganicanz link=topic=2827109.msg61881923#msg61881923 date=1679690699] [url=https://chipmixẹr.com]chipmixer.com[/url] + [url=https://cryptomíxer.io][banned mixer][/url] + wasabi wallet = best choice fox mix your coins 8) [/quote] I see LoyceV left them negative feedback for doing the same thing a while back. I wonder why they haven't been banned yet?

Thanks. Shame on me I didn't remember about him, while I replied to him ~2 months ago I guess that's what we call " to start to be old" very promising... No idea why such members are not just perma banned. It's not the type of thing that deserves a 2nd chance or something around (if he edits the post on May 9, I bet it will be to include a blog post link talking about the scam bitblender.ai)

The problem with the fees will fade, not the first time we see it
I doubt it will. Yes, it happened before, but previously it was caused by completely opposite reasons. Previously it was caused by problems in official, fiat-based economy, the loss of trust to the official money after the 2020 US elections manipulation. Everyone wanted to really buy bitcoins to secure their savings that didn't look so secure anymore if still kept in official money. Once the increased demand was satisfied, the problem with fees faded indeed. This time, the problem is caused by problems of bitcoin itself, by bitcoin community's inability to resist and eliminate ordinals. I don't see any signs of bitcoin community gaining such power in a foreseeable future, so I expect mempool clogging will persist. By the way, every time the mempool gets especially clogged with ordinals (in February and now), the bitcoin price goes down, just like (if) it makes the loss of power obvious to the bitcoin community.

==> https://www.mail-archive.com/bitcoin-dev@lists.linuxfoundation.org/msg12637.htmlAction should have been taken months ago. Spam filtration has been a standard part of Bitcoin Core since day 1. It's a mistake that the existing filters weren't extended to Taproot transactions. We can address that, or try a more narrow approach like OP_RETURN (ie, what "Ordisrespector" does). Since this is a bugfix, it doesn't really even need to wait for a major release.
(We already have pruning. It's not an alternative to spam filtering.)
Luke Hi guys,
I think everyone on this list knows what has happened to the Bitcoin mempool during the past 96 hours. Due to side projects such as BRC-20 having such a high volume, real bitcoin transactions are being priced out and that is what is causing the massive congestion that has arguable not been seen since December 2017. I do not count the March 2021 congestion because that was only with 1-5sat/vbyte.
Such justifiably worthless ("worthless" is not even my word - that's how its creator described them[1]) tokens threaten the smooth and normal use of the Bitcoin network as a peer-to-pear digital currency, as it was intended to be used as.
If the volume does not die down over the next few weeks, should we take an action? The bitcoin network is a triumvirate of developers, miners, and users. Considering that miners are largely the entities at fault for allowing the system to be abused like this, the harmony of Bitcoin transactions is being disrupted right now. Although this community has a strong history of not putting its fingers into pies unless absolutely necessary - an example being during the block size wars and Segwit - should similar action be taken now, in the form of i) BIPs and/or ii) commits into the Bitcoin Core codebase, to curtail the loophole in BIP 342 (which defines the validation rules for Taproot scripts) which has allowed these unintended consequences?
An alternative would be to enforce this "censorship" at the node level and introduce a run-time option to instantly prune all non-standard Taproot transactions. This will be easier to implement, but won't hit the road until minimum next release.
I know that some people will have their criticisms about this, absolutists/libertarians/maximum-freedom advocates, which is fine, but we need to find a solution for this that fits everyone's common ground. We indirectly allowed this to happen, which previously wasn't possible before. So we also have a responsibility to do something to ensure that this kind of congestion can never happen again using Taproot.
-Ali To be honest, I don't care about the Bitcoin price, I currently don't know it. :/ That's something I check 3/4 times per year

Well, it's good news that they are trying to do something, but the question is still, if they are going to actually succeed. And in fact, I don't have so much hope, especially in view of the major defeats of the FOSS community in general last years. In your quote they are talking about "the next few weeks", so let's see what happens in a few weeks.

[banned mixer] is back on track so I added it to the list. TLTR: The server got covid19, but it has been vaccinated since. No need for a mask now. The website was fighting with a huge DDOS attack and since they refuse absolutely to use any MITM service (Cloudflare and co.) I admit I should be used with DDOS stuff with BTC mixers but the service didn't stop to appear and disappear and when it disappeared, it was during several days. The Tor version should be more stable with the latest POW code. If the system is dynamic, the difficulty is adapted to the attack's volume for reference: ⭐Name: Anonymixer🔹Clearnet link: https://[banned mixer] 🔹Tor link: [banned mixer] 🔹Bitcointalk thread link: here🔹Fees: from 1 to 2% (+ Network fee is dynamic depending on the mempool) 🔹Minimum amount: 0.001 BTC edit:...
Corrected, thanks. It was a copy-paste from an outdated LeGaulois

🔹Minimum amount: 1 satoshi This is long outdated, the minimum is /help/faq]0.001BTC (which makes more sense than 1 sat, considering on-chain fees).

Is it the same guy behind the old [banned mixer] – bitcoin mixer | oчиcткa bitcoin | pyccкaя пoддepжкaIf you visit mixer1.money, you're now redirected to [banned mixer] If you visit [banned mixer]'s website, they also changed the URL Not so important. I haven't find a scam accusation when [banned mixer] disappeared but it's a weird case Perhaps not the same guy, but just the person behind mixer1.money bought [banned mixer] Domain Name: mlxer.money [banned mixer] Creation Date: 2023-06-12

I don't think this thread has anything to do with Jambler, although they do have a [banned mixer] site running on their website. Also, the domain you specified contains "L" instead of "i"

True, but [banned mixer]'s website is a good source to see what's going on and is saving time Also, the domain you specified contains "L" instead of "i" It's a typo from me while posting https://whois.gandi.net/en/results?search=[banned mixer] But look like I accidently found a new scam (mlxer.money) https://whois.gandi.net/en/results?search=mlxer.moneyAlso registered on 2023-06-12 the same day...

In this case, then your guess is correct, the domain was bought by Jambler, although the thread you indicated is still not related to them. The next time I have a conversation with one of their representatives, I will clarify these details. p.s. edited bbcode for one project and answered you by accident on their behalf.

Yes, I really missed it. I can only say that when 4-5 years ago I worked with different projects, the issue of buying similar domains was often on the agenda. According to this, it is possible that Jambler decided to buy this similar domain in order to avoid reputational losses (just a thought). By the way...let me ask you. Do you know something about anonymix? If it does not change me, the domain of this mixer ended in "io" but I see that there is also "ss". Sorry for going off topic.

No problem. Anonymix was a mixer launched in 2019 and yes the tld was .io. It closed after ~1 year The owner was https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2678553I guess you wanted to say "cc" instead of "ss" Anonymix.cc is a scam, as well anonymix.so anonymixer.net

I don't see [banned mixer] on the list even though it is a Bitcoin mixer and they have a running sig campaign here in the forum that is managed by icopress. I did see that it is mentioned in your thread of scam bitcoin mixer where there's a mixum.io in there and you explained it that it is a fake copy of [banned mixer].

I know it is probably not the best topic for my question, but I did not find a better one and I do not want to create a new one.
Just out of curiosity: Are there any mixers for other coins than Bitcoin, for example BCH? How it would work with ETH?

Are there any mixers for other coins than Bitcoin, for example BCH? I've seen mixers for altcoins in the past, but can't tell you if they're reliable. BCH also has has " CashFusion" built into it's Electrum fork.

There are plenty!!! ... but all of them are scams. On a serious note, for BCH, I remember about the wallet "Cashshuffle" but I can't comment about it. I'vee seen mixers as a web-based service but they're gone (privcoin, weimixer,...) or decided to stop their service and instead create a BTC mixer ( exemple) As for ETH, there are certainely smart contract mixers
