As far as I know, the main application of bitcoin is in the currency payment. Second is the stability of the value of bitcoin relative to other currencies. Can be used as a safe-haven asset, such as a war in a country, devaluation of legal currency, then the purchase of gold and bitcoin is an effective way to hedge, but gold is not fast and convenient, but Bitcoin is not the same, it is easy to circulate.

So I think today normal people are also investing in bitcoin. Still most of the people dont even know what is bitcoin. I would say 60% people in my country know about bitcoin and only 50% are trying to invest in it.
