Huh  Cry
taking orders, .11 btc per USB stick.  emailed label, as usual.  will create a separate page sometime tomorrow.

If you don't want to wait till then, payment addy: 1L3XSZpfsZtEXLwDDYjJfJHncaPxAngAyV same instructions for labels as usual.

3.5 btc per blade, have plenty in stock.

if friedcat changes prices, I'll reflect them, but I've not heard about any new changes from him in the past few days...

Do we not need to know your ship from address to make the label ourselves?

no use your address twice ..  but say it ships from canary's zip code which I believe it is 60181.  make sure someone confirms this.  but it is what I always do

This is how I do it also and it works Smiley

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

How come people are talking about shipments in this thread if the thread is marked [CLOSED]?

Am I misunderstanding that the ones that say [CLOSED] are supposed to be ignored because they're inactive?

I'm just asking because I'm new here...

if you read above you'll see canary said you can still order until he makes the new thread....  last pricing is still in effect

usually closed means closed.....   but Canary has quite a following.... and will deliver!

no, they are not ASICMiner.  they are based on bitfury chips.

I was contacted to be a "reseller" by an assembler.  However, this is a misnomer with these devices... Whereas ASICMiner actually manufactures their devices and has a network of resellers, bitfury DOES NOT.

There are assemblers who have contacted a few people and even setup "authorized" resellers.  but this is a little bit misleading.  these assemblers simply assemble the purchased bitfury chips.

They have no risk in this at all.

they pass on all the risk to the person collecting a group buy and ultimately the buyer.  Anyone wishing to get the USB sticks based on bitfury chips should really go out and purchase chips and have them assembled in US for example instead.

This may sound strange to you but the granular issue here is that price setting is not done by a true manufacturer but an assembler who has 0 risk in this.  ASICMiner for ex. manufactures a bunch ahead of time and then adjusts the prices as necessary to drive and keep demand. and they are in stock now, you are not prepaying ahead of time to have them made.  by the time folks receive bfury based sticks, they will cost you more than currently in stock products from others.  Ofcourse, I think everyone should get at least 1 just to have a device for historical purposes.  it is a neat development and I support in principle any positive btc development.

therefore, I declined to "resell" them since there's no true manufacturer behind these devices and I see alot of unhappy people down the road and don't wish to hurt my reputation.  it's not worth it.

plus, ASICMner will have it's own next gen chip and devices at a later time too.  at that time, I'll probably get busier than ever, so for now I can rest and prepare.  Grin

I see cool
Also with different assemblers it leads to varying quality and names like the blue red confusion

it's what Klondike project never became due to Avalon issues.  can you imagine the difficulty right now if Avalon delivered all the chips and all those projects succeeded?

Canary is the most coherent and sensible group manager who is both driving the lowest possible price for me while maintaining his long term credibility.

I was waiting to buy red/blue fury from him, not jumping to pre-order from others. With the notional delivery date coming next week, I finally ordered exactly one from buyahash, simply because I also trust and bought from Ben an his paypal price was lowest as of this week ($130 shipped to US).

I also decided to keep my AM shares because I trust canary about second gen ASIC from AM, betting that he will sell many more crypto shovels and his stock will rise. Cheers.
