That's the problem. Findmycoins could (should!) have created a snapshot with all balances the moment each fork happened, but apparently they're checking actual transactions. Uh-huh... this is curious. On my side, I didn't get that message. But anyway, this must be the reason. Thanks for looking into this. The question is: what can I do now? How can I see how many fork coins I have Before you claim your Forks and split your coins: Can I buy $1? If BlockChair is right, I have 0.03 BCH. And I'm supposed to have as well BSV and all ( all!) the other fork coins which appeared after BCH. I would gladly sell you some (even all), but I'm in a bit of trouble: I'm using Bitcoin Wallet for Android and so far, the operation of extracting the private keys beats me (sad lol). I followed their guide, but I'm stuck at some point. If you have any experience with this procedure, for this wallet, I will gladly sell you the coins.

If BlockChair is right, I have 0.03 BCH. And I'm supposed to have as well BSV and all (all!) the other fork coins which appeared after BCH. I can't easily check your balance over the years because there's so many transactions. Chances are you have most or all Forkcoins. But most Forkcoins aren't worth it, and my current list is limited to just 5. You'll have a around $0.2 worth of BTG and BCD, it's great to use as an exercise in Forkwallets, but not worth the money. I'm using Bitcoin Wallet for Android and so far, the operation of extracting the private keys beats me (sad lol). I followed their guide, but I'm stuck at some point. If you have any experience with this procedure, for this wallet, I will gladly sell you the coins. I used that wallet in 2015 when I received my first (milli)Bitcoin. It looks like a lot of work to export private keys from Bitcoin Wallet for Android! If it works though, I'll Merit the post.

Having read this thread for the first time, I also ran into the same problems as GazetaBitcoin. In the meantime, I symbolically merited this topic so that it can always be found quickly ... since I also have dust on different old addresses, (but I'll come back to this question a little later with some suggestions).

Hey just to follow up the recent bump: on LoyceV's advice, I spent time in recent days claiming my various BTC forks from a wallet last used in 2014, which means I now own ~0.5 in each of BCH, BSV, BTG and BCHA
If you can tolerate a few hours of tinking with various wallets, it might be well worth your time to follow the advice contained in this thread. Cheers Loyce!

LoyceV, do you have any information on the cost of transaction fees for fork coins? I was just thinking about expediency ... let's say the total cost of all coins that can be extracted does not exceed 10-15 dollars, then if the point is in this? Thx

Instructions for my Fork claiming service.Note that the prices at the start of this topic is very outdated.First, there's this: General note: never give your private key or word seed phrase to anybody! If you're not the sole owner of your private keys, you're not the owner at all! If you want me to claim your forked coins for you, you're going to have to give me your private key(s). Now, read the sentence above this again. Are you confused yet? That was intentional to make you realize what you're about to do! I can't claim all Forks, only the ones that are worth it. I can extract these Forks: BCH: $480 BSV: $180 BCH-A now called eCash: $14 BTG: $25 BCD: $9 Those values are current estimates per Bitcoin (or Forkcoin for Forks of Forks) you owned when the Fork was created. I can claim your Forkcoins for you, but for that, I'm going to need your private keys. Before sending them, make sure your Bitcoin is moved to another wallet, and confirmed (don't risk your Bitcoin for Forkcoins). After sending your private keys, you should consider them compromised and never use the same wallet again (but keep a backup anyway). I charge 10% for doing this (negotiable for large amounts: make me an offer). It's probably not worth my time to do this for very small amounts. Don't send private keys from a standard email that doesn't encrypt messages. The easiest way to send private keys (or seed words, depending on your wallet) is if you create a Protonmail account. My email: LoyceVswitzerland@protonmail.com This way, the email has end-to-end encryption and should be secure. There's of course always the risk of your (or my) computer being compromised. Alternatively, you can send half of each private key to my Protonmail email, and the other half by Bitcointalk PM. This way the parts don't end up on the same email account. If you can't get the private keys, I'm going to need your wallet.dat. In that case I suggest setting a new password, emailing the wallet, then sending the password by PM. Please discuss possible other wallet formats before sending files. Together with your private keys, please send addresses where you want your Forkcoins to be send to. BCH, BTG and BCD can be traded (without KYC up to 2 Bitcoin per day, but DYOR) on Binance. I haven't found a trusted site for BSV and BCH-A yet. You're free to try an instance exchange at BestChange.com for BSV (but at your own risk if they disappear with your money). Note that some sites mix up the names for BCH (higher value at the moment) and BCH-A (lower value). Be careful to use the correct chain! For BCH-A, I have no idea, where to securely exchange them. Since the value isn't that high, you can store BSV on for instance Coinomi on Android and create a legacy paper wallet from bitaddress.org where you store the BCH-A. Just write "BCH-A Shitfork" on it in case it ever gains any value (unlikely). If you send me different deposit addresses for each Forkcoin, make sure you have the right chain! If you have them send to the wrong chain at an exchange, your coins are most likely lost.

Update:BCH-A can now be deposited to Binance, where it can be traded against BUSD. I've never used BUSD before, but it can be traded against BTC again. The minimum amount to trade is 10. I'm not sure if that's 10 BCH-A or 10 BUSD (and don't have enough to try).

Responding here on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5305788.msg56962579#msg56962579 as requested. Sounds good to me. I give you a private key with about .01 BCH and all other forks, and you give me private keys containing dust for already split BCH/BSV/BCH-A/BTG/BCD so that I can avoid replay? I had looked at Coinomi. My one question is that Coinomi creates hierarchical deterministic wallets. It doesn't import private keys, it sweeps them. My fear was that sweep would cause issues with the splitting of the unswept keys. I'm assuming that it doesn't, since I have the private key it's been swept to. For the coins that it can't deal with, I'd use that initial swept private key to sweep into the other wallets? In other words, start with the BCH, sweep the keys into Coinomi, send the swept keys to a new address using the dust from an already split BCH. Next, move on to the other coins Coinomi can deal with and do the same sending with split dust. After that, use that private key from the initial sweep in Coinomi to sweep into other wallets for the other coins. Is that basically correct? So, how do we exchange the private keys?

I give you a private key with about .01 BCH and all other forks, and you give me private keys containing dust for already split BCH/BSV/BCH-A/BTG/BCD so that I can avoid replay? It's much easier if I can just dust your old Bitcoin addresses for you. Of course, this (slightly) compromises your privacy, but if you use any dust I send you, chain evidence will lead to the same addresses anyway. If you're okay with this, just email or PM me the addresses, and I'll dust them all at once (unless you have many, then even Forkdust becomes expensive nowadays). There's no replay risk for BTG/BCD, so those don't need dusting. Even if you mess up the replay protection and end up moving coins on other chains too, you're basically back to square one: you'll have to get the private keys from Coinomi, and try again. Just don't make the mistake of sending replayed coins to an exchange. For the coins that it can't deal with, I'd use that initial swept private key to sweep into the other wallets? Correct. In other words, start with the BCH, sweep the keys into Coinomi, send the swept keys to a new address using the dust from an already split BCH. That's the wrong order: first add BCH dust to your old BTC address, then sweep the full BCH balance from that address into your Coinomi BCH-wallet. After that, use that private key from the initial sweep in Coinomi to sweep into other wallets for the other coins. Is that basically correct? Correct. I've used Electrum-clones for BCH-A and BCD. I just don't trust them enough to do it outside a VM. So, how do we exchange the private keys? This is the safest: Don't send private keys from a standard email that doesn't encrypt messages. But considering it's only a small amount, a PM on Bitcointalk works too.

If you're looking to claim just these forked coins, then this method may be for you. Providing you want to pay for the steel card, you can use Ballet Wallet to sweep forked bitcoins into their in app wallets for BTC / BCH / BSV / BCHA / BTG and BCD. These wallet addresses are swept at the same time unlike the Coinomi App that will only sweep each wallet that you select one at a time. TX fees are near nonexistent and like Coinomi you can swap/trade forked for BTC in App. From what I can tell after installing Coinomi a couple of hours ago, it will sweep with one Priv Key BTC, BCH, BTG, XBC, BSV and BTCZ, but unlike Ballet Wallet, it does not have a facility to sweep mnemonic password wallets. Either way in under a minute, you can sweep the forked bitcoins variants with either wallet App. (Tangem Wallets don't seem to have that capability) I don't know as yet whether the App will create new forked coins later on when they occur, or you need to re-sweep after the snap-shot is taken. Time will tell.

LoyceV, thanks a lot for this useful summary and the work you put in to create it. Unfortunately, most of the Forks are no longer worth it, I currenly only chase those 5. Yes, indeed, in principle, only BCH is worth it. The others are only worthwhile if you hold a larger amount of Bitcoins at the time of the fork. It might be good to also include the forks of the Bitcoin forks. In particular, those of the Bitcoin Cash line, which have now split into Bitcoin Cash SV, Bitcoin Cash ABC and recently into eCash (XEC). Map of Bitcoin Forks

I'll gladly offer my services for the remaining 4 It might be good to also include the forks of the Bitcoin forks. I did in my list of 5. I just didn't update the OP anymore. In particular, those of the Bitcoin Cash line, which have now split into Bitcoin Cash SV, Bitcoin Cash ABC and recently into eCash (XEC). This is where you need replay protection before moving BCH.

I kept btc in electrum a while back. I then sent the btc to a nano ledger s much later on. When I went and claimed the bch, I remember downloading electroncash to claim the bch and it was simple. It required entering the electrum seed and then bch showed up and i sent the bch to nano ledger s. I went and claimed the bch a lot later than most people. I have not claimed bitcoin gold or bitcoin sv yet. I also heard there is bitcoin diamond and bitcoin private. Now to claim bitcoin gold, you just need your electrum seed right? People back then said all you need to do is download coinomi on your android/iphone and that was it and simple. But it could be a bit complicated? Did read something about deriviation paths which seem confusing. But someone said you could also claim your bitcoin gold by going to https://bitcoingold.org/electrumg/ and its much more simpler? So just seed and thats it? Thing is I know after claiming btg... i could send it to nano ledger since it supports btg. I read with bitcoin sv, you go here? https://electrumsv.io/But claiming it would be a lot complicated? The thing is when bitcoin sv was forked, my bch already moved from electrum to nano ledger. So is my electrum seed still what is needed to claim it? I heard people talk about replay or lack of replay protection and said this would be confusing. Would bitcoin sv claim be the hardest one to do about it? Also people say when claiming these btc forks, first thing is make sure electrum btc wallet is empty which I done so a while back. But then people said start from the highest value fork to low value. Do you agree on this? Since I claimed bch a while back, I should go bitcoin sv, btg, bitcoin diamond/private? The one complicated thing here is after claiming bitcoin sv, where would I even send it to? I don't see any exchange that I possibly could use to send it to? I wouldn't mind just selling it either. With btg, well nano ledger would work. Is it worth to claim bitcoin diamond and private? Also you would recommend using a different computer to download all these software? I did remember downloading electroncash in my main pc...and even kept the program there after installing it. But i had moved the bch to nano ledger.

@jerry0: I've never claimed Bitcoin Private, I don't think it's worth it. Your BTG should still be on your original Bitcoin address. I prefer to get BTG into Coinomi by importing the private keys (which come from the seed). I think it was because "ElectrumG" didn't work on Linux, and it means installing less (untrusted!) software. But it could be a bit complicated? Did read something about deriviation paths which seem confusing. If you get the private keys out of Electrum, you don't have to worry about derivation paths. The thing is when bitcoin sv was forked, my bch already moved from electrum to nano ledger. So is my electrum seed still what is needed to claim it? This means your BSV should be on your BCH address. Enforce replay protection, move your BCH, and export the privkey to get your BSV (and BCH-A (currently named E-cash)). Again: don't forget replay protection. Since I claimed bch a while back, I should go Always start from the most valuable one. If you mess up and lose everything, you risk the least amount of money that way. The one complicated thing here is after claiming bitcoin sv, where would I even send it to? I don't see any exchange that I possibly could use to send it to? I wouldn't mind just selling it either. With btg, well nano ledger would work. See Bestchange.com for several options. Use at your own risk. I'd say exchange small amounts at once to reduce the risk. Is it worth to claim bitcoin diamond and private? BCD: yes. Although it depends on how much Bitcoin you had of course. Also you would recommend using a different computer to download all these software? A VM is easier but different computers work too. Just assume you're installing malware, and take measures accordingly.

Forkcoins are currently being pumped. At current value, there's over $1700 per Bitcoin owned at all Forkdates that can easily be claimed. My Fork claiming service service is ready to help you You are telling me if someone did not claim anything at this time, someone could have claimed this much for each btc they had back then? What is that number right now? Also its true that forks like bitcoinx or something like that was worth few hundred dollars if you claimed it all the way back then? I never heard of that even back then. All i heard was bch, btg and bsv etc. The thing is if there is zero harm in trying to claim all those forks, then why don't people do it assuming they know how to do it? If they use a separate pc or use a VM like you, then isn't there no harm really? I assume there is risk in that any forks you did claim, u need to move it immediately from that wallet in case any new wallet you download might have malware?
