Firefall!

I tried a bunch of other games but they failed to keep me occupied. And firefall is still in beta!

It's a free to play game but it gives no tangible advantage to players who do pay which is amazing. It has both PVP and PVE modes and both are awesome!

It doesn't have a campaign yet but it's going to be more interesting than any other game. You will be able to lose part of the world for weeks or months and each place in the world will have uniqueness and
certain advantages. It is most definitely worth checking out and getting a little used to it before the beta is over and we get the finished game.

It's a little boring since there isn't that much content yet.

If I had a good PC I'd try crysis 2.

I love Command and Conquer Kane's wrath. I also love Age of Empires III and Age of Mythology.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

Where to begin... Recent favourites have been Saints Row, SimCity 4 (i.e old one) when I can.

Never tried Saints Row (looks too much like boring old GTA), but the old Sim City games are good. The new one is cancer. They should have named it "Social Sim City Friends 2 Facebook Edition"

I've been playing Starcraft2 Heart of the Swarm, skull girls, persona 4 arena, just got Dear Esther so I'm going to play that and getting Saints Row 4 next week.

@b!z
saints row 3 is worth a try, had lots of fun playing it with my friends.

Lately, 100% Team Fortress 2.  I don't know what it is about that game, but I can't stop shooting people in the face with rockets.

I also sometimes play CiV; that's another really addicting game.  BNW made it all the better, though now it seems science victories are a lot harder to reach; I'll be in year 2030 and still won't be anywhere near the last technologies.

I'm probably going to play Rome 2 Total War to death when it comes out and then bitch about it some more on my thread because they're already releasing DLC content in waves Tongue I've been playing Shadowrun returns as well but aside from that nothing lately, I've been focusing on my work mostly which includes practising coding my own 2D game engine.

One game I did play a lot though awhile ago was Startopia and I still enjoy it Cheesy highly recommended.

I've been playing TF2 (and trading hats for Bitcoin) for the past 2 years. I only stopped in June because my computer is busted and I don't want to buy a new one (already have a tablet). Maybe we can play together someday :-)

Payday 2 is a great game but it can get a bit repetitive once you know all the levels by heart. Grin

@Lethn: have you played the first Rome: Total War game? I didn't really like it. Sending out waves of troops to fight against the enemy's waves of troops is not too fun for me.

I played pretty much all the Total War games, unfortunately total war is turning into most RTS like that Sad it's more about how many units you can spam rather than using any form of strategy before in the first Shogun it did actually involve some proper skill but now you just need the better troops and you'll usually win with a basic flank attack etc. and the multiplayer is pretty pathetic..... Then there's the DLC's they're already churning out in order to get you to pay for them ;_;.

We need to go back to the old ways where strategy games were about terrain modifiers and not about getting to the unit which has 999999 hitpoints first Tongue I'm hoping things will change in Rome 2 Total War but I doubt it because the developers are arrogant twats like most of them are in the games industry.

Nowadays, video games are about money, not gameplay value. Only a few companies like Valve are doing it right.

No they aren't, Valve still has steam, when they get rid of steam and the online requirements then they'll be doing it right, Valve fanboism annoys me >_< Tongue, oh and they ruined Team Fortress 2 by making it all about stupid hats and collectable items, you're right about game developers just being in it for money, but don't make the mistake a lot of people make of thinking Valve is exempt from this.

All companies are in it for the money. At least their games haven't gone to shit like EA's.

Well at least valve have done quality work for the money they sucked up. The hat fetish in TF2 does annoy me alittle bit however that's the main thing fueling TF2 economy. I play a lot of games in many genres but mostly enjoy RPGs.

I noticed EA tried to fix their rep with the Humble Origin bundle.

It didn't work. Did you see the new Sim City? Or Madden? Or any other new EA game?

I didn't even bother getting Sim City. It didn't look good at all and after reading up on it with all the bugs involved. I'll stick with Sim city 2000/Deluxe.

I too play Payday 2 though I'm taking a break a bit. I actually spent over 20 hours playing solely the beta before the game was out. I guess I'm kind of a fan of the series though there were decisions that weren't really enjoyed by me in Payday 2 comparing to Payday: The Heist .

I've never tried DotA (or LoL), but I don't think I like the genre very much. I've tried DotA 2 for a short time but I never finished the tutorial.

DotA seems to be mostly about fast mouse reactions, and knowing characters + skills by heart. Is this true?
This pretty much applies to me as well.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.
