i agree both altcoins are good invesments for long term but when we want to talk about useful and still profitale for long term, then using ETH will be a good choice, i think if we compare about technology between ETH and NEO then surely NEO is the winner but until now ETH is more common used than NEO so it is an important factor that NEO can not defeat ETH at this moment but very long time, feel free to invest in ETH for long term.

I don't agree with you and I think what the OP ought to do is to split the money into 3 places since the investment will last till 2020 and bitcoin halving will happen on  26 May 2020. Therefore, it will be If the OP buy bitcoin, Ethereum and NEO.
