Facebook doesnt restrict people or users to post share and link any cryptocurrency ICO related links in facebook and that means you can still post as usual the only thing they resticted or prohibited, are accepting new ICO related advertisement thru their paid advertising program,so most of the campaign managers in facebook would only be affected by this ban,but not the usual users like us.

The media always has such a nice way to twist things around.

Maybe they're trying to prevent people from investing in scams and highly speculative investments. However, to be fair, they should only ban ads related to ICOs and ponzi schemes, and keep ads related to good cryptos and services related to it, like the ones that seek to provide educational content about cryptocurrencies and trading.
Too many people lose money on ICO. So I think facebook will prevent them from scam ICO

Facebook Gives Crypto Ads the Thumbs Down.

Facebook has issued an outright ban. As of a new ruling issued on January 30, “ads must not promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings, or cryptocurrency”. The move is sure to be welcomed by Facebook users and bitcoin enthusiasts alike, who recognize that these adverts do little to promote the benefits of cryptocurrency.

i heard that news as well, but even though Facebook banned crypto ads there will still be no effect on the altcoins or all of the tokens itself, yes it will promote ICO's projects and platforms but it is only a little part of the industry. There are still many social media sites that are widely used by people and the best example for this is Twitter, because Twitter has many active interactors that are very into reading news and when an ICO promotes their project it will be known for sure with a span of really short period of time because tweets are being delivered with less than a second. That is why i think Facebook will not affect the industry with that big, it may affect the industry but just a little, there is still many social media sites out there.

This is not a serious problem when I heard that FB ban other cryptocurrency because they will co-operate with Litecoin. So, do not too worried about some bad news. You must research carefully before making decisions

Facebook will only prohibit ICO related advertisement to their paid advertising program, but it doesnt mean you cannot post or share links that has cryptocurrency related topics in your profile, you will still be able to do things as usual because advertisers that are using the facebook paid services would be affected by this restriction.

Yes that's true facebook can't ban cryptocurrency ads just like that. As of now a lot as about cryptocurrency still I saw on my facebook. Because facebook are really receiving a big money on those advertisers I think the news about to ban crypto ads on facebook is just a FUD.

This really is a bad news for bounty hunters. We must admit that facebook decision will lessen ICOs from getting more investors and a free advertisement. Lets see how bounties will manage this negative news.

From what ive heard, facebook wont banned users that will share, link,or post ICO related promotions using their profiles, thats why the only people will be affected by this restriction would be the campaign managers who are paying facebook to promote their  ICO advertisement.

I can understand it , when i see coinmarketcap promoting known scams like bitconnect . Then you know they don't care and just take the money. Facebook probably don't want to be promoting scams and they don't want to do the research to see if a project is legit. So the easy way is to ban it all , which is understandable.

Bounties are preserved and this only affects paid ads. Facebook does not intend to block or create restrictions on crypto content
Maybe the next time ICOs will think other way to do bounties on Facebook.
That's sad news surely many people will be disappointed because a lot of us are using facebook and and many of us used it to promote our ICO to get paid. But don't lose hope there's a many ways because we can use other social media to promote and to spread to all people who using it.

This is obviously not good news, but facebook's founders are interested in encrypting money markets, they simply ban the advertising of ICO, but do not ban the encryption of cryptocurrency markets..

Yes in a way but what I have witnessed on my page is that most tweets from my twitter account post directly also to facebook, because I connect both facebook and twitter, so facebook blocked all the tweets posted on facebook but with an option to indicate if such post is spam or not. All the ones I told them is not spam, accessed is granted for all post. and since then I have been posting about crypto without any blockages. I see it as an an easy thing,  you let them know its not spamming and you will be allowed.

I am pretty shocked that Facebook did this, but I am happy. No longer will I see poor ICO adverts promising the world if I invest.

This will only empower bounty campaigns though as they will be more important to ICOs.

Before there is a news that facebook will apply crpto on their program but i dunno why now they ban it. Maybe they couldn't find a way to apply crypto on their fitur so they give up and dont wanna using it. But the next possibilty why they ban crypto was because to much advertising about crypto that distrub other user, since the vision of facebook are for good information and build relationship to every part of world.

Well social media are the very big part of promotion. But facebook did not totally ban cryptocurrency ads they only ban which look scam ICOs for them to prevent getting money on people. They are getting big money from those ICOs which has a ads on facebook so why would they ban it? It just a FUD so don't worry.

Now Facebook will somehow make a conclusion about trustworthiness? Don't think so. Has anobody seen ICO ads in Instagram lately?

I think facebook advertisement differs from what you do in facebook campaign. I have my friends who still post on their facebook about their campaigns. Maybe they banned the advertisement (which is payable) but those posts that have a content of their facebook campaign  is still legal.

Those paid advertisement only, same in instagram there are none advertisement now, but posting is dtill allowed, groups and discusion regarding cryptos were still necessary, promotions thru campaigns were still applicable since its our own account.
