I am not very impressed by this rule. And I don't think it will last. They may change their minds in just a few months. Or never really enforce it even.

Facebook Gives Crypto Ads the Thumbs Down.

Facebook has issued an outright ban. As of a new ruling issued on January 30, “ads must not promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings, or cryptocurrency”. The move is sure to be welcomed by Facebook users and bitcoin enthusiasts alike, who recognize that these adverts do little to promote the benefits of cryptocurrency.

I'm agree with you. There was no profit from such advertising and also it irritates users more than interested.

Facebook a social network website that helps promote one product or service but they banned all advertising for cryptocurrencies because they don't want to be correlated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices. Facebook also trying to protect also the users and they want to maintain the trust and confidence of the public.

However, some have already found workarounds for publishing banned content. I saw a screenshot of an advertisement that posted information about bitcoin using typos: the lowercase English L instead of i, and the "zero" instead of the letter O in the word "bitcoin" - "BlTC0IN". Other offenders put "zero" instead of the letter "o" when writing the word "ICO".  Undecided

Well i don't think facebook will ban all ICO adverts, they can look out for those that are deceptive and ban any advert coming from them, it means they will work for the crypto community in doing due diligence if they can implement this. great news in my opinion.

This can be seen as a good step as the major investment made in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies were made by the amateur investors who had no idea about how cryptocurrency operations but just invested for the sake that it was a part of popular culture, Though this method that source of investors is eliminated.

It is necessary to the situation and see the other side, because today social networks look completely like advertising booklets, not a place where people can calmly communicate. That's why the original idea of these sites is now fulfilled.

Facebook is one of the leaders in the world of capitalist industries, it banning a cryptocurrency such as bitcoin may be for the effect that bitcoin may now have less number of transactions. Since the daily trading volume plays a big role in valuing a particular cryptocurrency we may predict a future drop in the cryptocurrency prices.

As being one of the giants in the world in terms of the user base, Facebook has so many users that if it were a country it could be compared to China, the reason I'm telling you this is because facebook banning cryptocurrencies has an adverse effect as many of the world's leading governments will also follow its path.

Many of the worlds political powers especially the G8 countries may follow the restrictions Facebook has placed on bitcoin and may generate regulatory laws that will not allow the trading of bitcoin in their geographical domain, this chain effect may harm bitcoin in the long run and banning ads also affecting the market value and price of bitcoin and also other cryptocurrencies.

Facebook placing a ban on bitcoin may not even have an effect on its popularity due to the fact that bitcoin has grown to be a part of popular culture. You can see this from the fact that without it having any rigorous marketing, it has a daily trading volume of 8 billion USD, now that shows a self-sustainable work.

it is a pity that Facebook arranged this company, I think that first it is due to either technical difficulties or Facebook is going to follow the example of Pavel Durov and create your own currency and clear a competitive struggle

I think because of some people complain about the advertising of cryptocurrency is scam, so many people complain to facebook to banned advertising crypto, also owner of facebook or the run the sytem of facebook banned advertising to the safety of many people from being scam. Since right now there's a lot of scammed out there especially here in cryptocurrency. But dont worry even facebook banned crypto's to advertise still there's a lot of way we can advertise our crypto's.
