Facebook Gives Crypto Ads the Thumbs Down.

Facebook has issued an outright ban. As of a new ruling issued on January 30, “ads must not promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings, or cryptocurrency”. The move is sure to be welcomed by Facebook users and bitcoin enthusiasts alike, who recognize that these adverts do little to promote the benefits of cryptocurrency.

Who cares about such restrictions? Advertising FB can be very expensive and useless. In my opinion, the campaign for compensation is a much better way to market.

When cryptocurrencies became popular, many people used cryptocurrencies for fraud, which is why Facebook banned cryptocurrency ads!

I do not see any reason to show ads to people randomly. The main problem is the inability of most of the ICO to locate their target audience. That is why most ads will not work.

The binary options I can see in the facebook ads every time I open it. It is good to know that facebook ban them. Because most case it is just another scam act.

WOW and WOW and WOW...
This is a huge addition in cryptocurrency if Facebook will launch their own blockchain or cryptocurrency.
As the community is really bad now, we need a more giant company to set their foot in the community of crypto.
If Facebook will do their own then many will come too.

No longer. They realized that they are losing a significant portion of the profits, so be prepared to give permission for advertising related to cryptography.

Instagram and Twitter have tried to copy this action, but it seems that this is not a good solution. However, I see some cryptic ads even in the messenger.

i wonder what are real reasons behind it. it is a controversial issue about binary options of course, but what can we do about the fact people use any means of gaining the profit including crypto hype?

It is the old information... Facebook, probably, works on its own blockchain, and the management do not against crypto, believe me.

As far as I know, they only stop posting crypto ads and paid advertisements for various dubious ICOs. But I do not think that they decided to ban publications for all users. As before, I consider Facebook one of the most effective and popular ways to promote ICO.

I am sure that this is not a completely correct opinion. Of course, Facebook decided to pay for advertising of various dubious ICOs. But in principle, advertising of various cryptocurrencies there remains permitted. And with Facebook you can quite successfully work with advertising projects, you just need to take into account certain limitations.

They imposed the ban until they were about to release their tokens, as soon as they decided to launch their cryptocurrency, this is what ICO advertising has become more loyal!

As far as I know, Facebook decided to advertise various dubious ICOs. And this is probably a reasonable solution. Because the social network seeks to protect its users from unnecessary risks and financial losses. But most cryptocurrencies can work with Facebook, if they take into account certain rules.

I do not think there is anything bad about this Facebook is only being secure and a better place many people have tried to run mins camp and they succeed because Facebook does not have any restrictions back then but now things are about to change Facebook is being serious. It's true that many people are going to take this matter in a bad point of you but think it in a normal way just like a human want with not want to watch about money all the time Facebook is just being a bit cleaner so we can enjoy without social like a bit more.
I agree because we also have to want to see the positive side because I realize that it is not only me who uses Facebook, not only cryptocurrency activists who use Facebook, there are still many who use Facebook who may not know about crypto and maybe they feel annoyed with crypto ads so I feel that this policy is a fairer policy because basically Facebook is social media and we already have a place to doing our hobbies and work, yes in this forum and I think that is enough

Based on my research about this topic, Facebook is not promoting cryptocurrency and actually they are banning some of its ads because some of it is about ICO and many ICO project right now are just turning into scam. The ceo want to prevent that to happen to their users so they ban ads of crypto.

This argument is partially true. In their statement, there is no specific mention about Bitcoin or Ether, and the ban was necessitated by the extreme proliferance of various scam ICOs. Many of these ICOs were using social media bounty campaigns to promote their projects and this was noticed by the FB admins. After carefully studying their ban, I am not sure whether it is proper to complain about it. First we need to get the house in order, before we complain about Facebook or any other company.
