It's just a prelude to regulation. They want to stop the scams, and in an unregulated market the only way to do that is to start by banning everything, and then later on approve the legitimate ones.

It's a fake war, and the strategy is clear: to create chaos and panic just to buy cheap or - it's possible - to propose a specific coin.
Actually, if Facebook will say "Did you see? Bitcoin was a bubble! Here is Facebookcoin, the real cryptocurrency!", we can bet that this move will destroy any concurrence.

I agree that this is a fake war. Whales are just trying to slow down the market, perhaps they want to launch their projects in the near future.

They will not be able to close everything so simply that people will find a way and will continue to make ICO ads.

So facebook bans cryto advertisement. is it an effort to destroy crypto currency that they fear can free the humanity from the Govt banking system.
Indeed. The war between government and crypto was started quite long ago, but the real one has started this year in 2018 because governments has finally come ahead and shown concerns relating bitcoin and other crypto currencies and are prepared to take legal actions against it and regulate it.

Many countries mentioned bitcoin and crypto currencies in their budget speech and discussed about it in the council meetings. There have been actions of regulating crypto exchanges, launching of ICO’s, banning of crypto ads from social platform and many more. Even those countries that sat back and watched for many years and now getting into bitcoin and trying to either ban it or regulate it.

I don't think that Facebook's ban on crypto advertising will hit the crypto currency market. The price of crypto coins has already recovered
from the Facebook statement. In addition, there are many ways to overcome Facebook's bans, for example cloaking.
Interested parties can easily find technology to overcome the Facebook ban, for example, at the Black Hats World Forum.

I dont think they are banning crypto because of the possible goverment strip off per se, but more because there has been so much ico scams and they are focusing on that untill the situations gets better and crypto world gets more regulated with less spam and scam

Banning ICO is not destroying cryptocurrency. In fact it helps the crypto to clean bad or scam coins that is or would circulate the market. They are protecting their users to avoid scam. Besides if the ICO is real, they will find a way to advertise their project in other Social Media.

It is a deliberate effort to kill cryptocurrency and attack on bitcoin image. Facebook was speaking in favour of bitcoin and blockchain technology before but why change their minds over night? Bitcoin has been doing well before they bring the issue of banning and place limitations on it. We should be expecting more attacks days and years to come and it is a fight that cryptocurrency must win.

Not all adverts are legit and this is a fact that we all know very well. That's why Facebook has banned cryptoadvertising. They want to clamp down on Fraud/Scam and slowly try to remove their options in scamming others.
That’s true. Facebook is banning crypto advertisements due to recent increase in scams and fraudulent activities which have caused many people to lose their hard earned money. Usually there are advertisements of ICO’s and new token on the social platform among which very few are legit and good projects and rest are just scam.

People usually don’t see the need to do research before doing investment when they see advertisements of such projects and end up losing money. According to me, this step will help money stay in crypto market and prevent it from escaping in form of scams and also save people from losing their hard earned money.

I think this is an attempt to reduce the number of scammers in the crypto world. I'm sure that good and quality projects will find a way to advertise themselves anyway. Crypto can not be banned without a true reason in social networks.

How do you think about social platform on Blockchain? We can use it as Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and others, and we can promote ICOs, projects, blockchain technology without law, legal problems...
Can we build that  social platform on Ethereum 300 tps? Or on others? CyberMiles - 10 000 tps, CREDITS 1M tps, TIM 10M tps...
Which you prefer guys?
Community need to decide soon as soon, because the Giants want to kill crypto-community. They understood that we can replace them with stronger platform.

Facebook has only banned the paid advertising of cryptocurrency. Which is fine as I get sick of seeing them when I do occasionally jump on Facebook. You or anyone else can post or share crypto stuff on your timeline so bounties etc will not be effected.
So as long as you don't make a paid ad for cryptocurrency nothing changes.

True. It gets suffocating many times. You browse the news feed and you will keep on seeing advertisements with full of dirt.  Grin
Once you followed or liked one of them, they are going to swarm you with a lot more and there is no stopping it (or I just dont know how). But the thing is, that should not be like that. They looked like a blog with full of paid advertisement everywhere and you cannot read the contents of the page anymore.

Bitcoin could be used even with a ban in place. Social media networks can do whatever they want, it don't matter to me!

I will be taking on the cryptocurrency site because governments today are stealing peoples money by getting a huge amount of tax in their salary but with cryptocurrency, everything is fine by working at home and earning a good amount of money to sustain our daily needs.

I don't believe someone cares of the users like trying to save them from scammers... Everyone contributes at his/her own risk and ads is only the way to know about a new ICO project. That is why - yes - I think this is a war and a trial to subdue cryptocommunity.

You are completely right , a lot of people seem to fail to see that. Most ico's don't even need the amounts of money they are asking for , and if your coin is good people will come in eventually.

That's quite a bit of a reach with your conclusion.

I don't think it'll destroy crypto currency any time soon or even harm it in the long run. I think they're just playing it safe and doing what's best for their platform.
