I use blockchain.info for managing my addresses in general, but I also have the Coin Control modded version of Bitcoin-QT that lets me pick the specific inputs when I craft a transaction <3

I used Armory but it's so slow and laggy that I switched to Electrum.

I prefer electrum; syncing up with the network and DLing the chain just takes too much time with the stock wallet.
I have heard that there is a steep learning curve with electrum. Do you have to be a coder to figure it out?

Not as far as I know; I believe each electrum wallet requires you to know or have recorded your seed, but otherwise operates like a normal wallet.  The seed is a long string of words that can be used to recover your wallet if it's ever lost.

I don't need to trust satoshi to use bitcoins. Hence why bitcoins is taking off and e-gold and others like it have failed. Please newbie don't put your money into something that could be hacked or even be just taken. You will regret it.

LMAO you are right SSL can't be brought anonymously. LOL don't you know what SSL is? It is just so you know that you are connecting to the right site, and it can't be read if their was a middle man. Yes I am a php/js developer and every piece of code has bugs in it. That is just the nature of the beast, but a web wallet has too many attack points. It isn't safe, but that isn't my money so do what you want. Don't whine when your money is gone cause I be sure to link back to this convo Wink
