Just checked the first page (the first time since I read it when I first saw this thread). Big red letters say something about reservations? I don't know if I reserved, but yeah, I'll be coming, and will have a +1. I'm bringing my spouse. No, that doesn't mean an increase in boobies.

Now you're just deliberately confusing people Wink

I think it is a girl masquerading as a gay. But I have been wrong before...

I met Rassah in San Jose. He's not a girl...

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

Neither is his partner...

Still around.

I think we need to add the condition that BTC must stay above 1K for a reasonable amount of a time... An intraday bubble from 500 to 1k and back doesn't count.

Hi and welcome mb300sd,

in the opening thread we posted this proposal....

if any further questions do not hesitate to send a PM to me or 600watt.

[/quote]

timing/trigger
our current plan is to play it this way: everything should get armed and ready to rumble within the next coming weeks and months. as soon bitcoin reaches 1000 $ and stays there for 5 days in a row (bitstamp $ 24 h average) this will be our trigger. since everything has been set up during the waiting period, after ignition triggers we will only need 6 -8 additonal weeks to actually unleash this monster.

How about 30 day moving average stays over for a week?
Personally I still like linking it to IMF SDRs or bitcoin / gold parity, rather than US Dollars.  Bitcoin is more global than dollars.

But hey, we could throw a few more events out there.

This may be the event of our lives here! People may talk about it in boring history classes years later... We should plan big....

This may be a part of history... especially if we make it!

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

As once before I am voting for Bangkok - eg. in a roof top restaurant like:
http://www.bangkok.com/magazine/zense-rooftop-bar.htm

This would be an event nobody will forget.

I'm all for Bangkok, an alternative party for those who survive the German one would be great, maybe ask goat to set this up, if so I'm definitely Tongue in.

i really wish i had more coins to able to afford a crazy all-out trip to germany or bangkok  Cheesy

btw, is there a reason why you guys have chosen germany as the country? are they more friendly to bitcoins or something?

if this trip does occur, the funny thing would be that.. it would probably be publicized, which is even better for bitcoins  Embarrassed

I think it started out this way, as the person who first suggested it is in Germany. I could be wrong. However, there are several other good reasons....

yes

I understand that Frankfurt may be the home of the ECB. Which makes this quite symbolic.

Hell, I don't know Frankfurt Germany from Frankenmuth Michigan. I'll drink it in any way it happens.

I think $1000 might be too far away. What about a party at a closer milestone, say $420? Smiley

I would actually also support Bangkok for this historical party. It has some cool venues. I have a video of my daughter table-dancing gangnam style on a river cruise there last year.. (For privacy reasons not shown here.)

maybe party can be when there's a full moon?

I mostly agree with your thoughts about escrow: at some point organizers will need control of the funds, otherwise they'd take huge personal risk, which is not acceptable.
