It is difficult to understand whether they consider the bitcoin as a threat or what, but if the Government want to maximize what exists in their countries could then bitcoin is very advanced.

Ive been thinking of this as well what if the source of this fluctuations are the workings of governments, financial institutions and bankers trying to regulate bitcoin or destroy it. Cause as i recall ive read an article of some businessman said that year 2018 will be the end of bitcoin. Then all altcoin price started dropping. I think the cause of this is FUD news by manipulative media.

As long as many people wanting and expecting on bitcoin everyday then things will improve. There are too many cryptocurrencies in the market.... One comes out every minute. The government can try all they want but every innovation that happened in cryptocurrency I think the government can do nothing about it. The government will never take control on bitcoin maybe they want to put some regulations just to protect the users.
Bitcoin price seems became seasonal. We should be accept it and start to fully understand the flow of these in the market. Patience are needed

Bitcoin seems to be at its peak ever since it was created. Bitcoin grew because the hype keep on growing. Its price depends on the people who are continuously buying and selling. Though it lived up to its hype, all hype has an end due to its weak foundation. There’s a limit, problems comes up and greedy people tries to monopolize everything. Government will always try to take control of something that might overpower them. Bitcoin will eventually hit its limit, but probably for a long time from now.

The issue between some government and bitcoin has been a long argued topic, government intervention on how to control and centralized the crypto technology seems to be a target of discussion eversince , but it never really materialized. That , perhaps only means that this technology is really made to last. Moreover, bitcoin 's popularity is still rising even in the times when the price is trending down.

Which businessman said that anyway ? Is that article having in link where you read about it. I dont think that your businessman was happy guy who said all FUD things about the bitcoin. People many times take such articles very seriously and they themselves make it look like outraged thing. The problem is, there is not single person like this but thousands of them who seed such FUD news and believe it or not for sometime the market does get halted with the investment leading to smaller growth at specific time. However, this is just normal and there is no way bitcoin can end this year!! Look around you, millions of dollars are getting raised in the ICO projects every day and months, and bitcoin alone gets billions of dollars transacted every month thus it would be idiotic to say that bitcoin will die this year.

I believe Bitcoin will survive in the long term unless a vastly better technology replaces it. I see absolutely zero threat to Bitcoin from a government or bank controlled “cryptocurrency”. The government already has a digital currency that it controls called the dollar. The thing Bitcoin provides that people see as so beneficial is it’s lack of centralized control. The centralized control aspect of currencies IS the part that people who use Bitcoin are trying to escape from. Believe it or not there are quite a few Bitcoin enthusiasts, including prominent ones in the public, who would like to see governments ban the use of Bitcoin because they believe this will help to strengthen Bitcoin as an alternative.

Yes! various nations and government are trying by any means possible to destroy Bitcoin using various media,but i think this war against bitcoin will be very difficult for them to win because Bitcoin has fully created a very big awareness on it's use and  application on everyday life. Again bitcoin is not any kinds of schemes out there but a blockchian based technology that has it's useful application,even as any other currency in the world are used.

One of the disadvantages with Bitcoin is that whenever someone dumps a large amount of coins in to the market, the exchange rates crash. This is happening right now, as the Mt Gox trustee is dumping the recovered coins, and it has happened many times in the past (an example is the sale of Silk Road coins by the FBI).
