I don’t really know the kind of effect it’s going to have on Bitcoin, but I think it will reduce the progress it’s having, because Facebook is one of the best social media where promoters can be able to reach thousands with just an ordinary post and be able to reach more by placing ads and paying for it to be promoted.

It will have some effect for sure because now everything is on social media and most of the youngsters do follow it. So it was an ideal platform to get the advertisement done and reach to masses. But after the ban it has sent out a wrong signal that it is not being supported.

Perhaps facebook's ban on encrypting ads is intended to avoid the loss of some fake ads to users!

Facebook executives have revealed that they will open the ico's ads in the future, but there are requirements for the ads, as well as for the project!
Facebook has a reason to block ICO ads on Facebook, but I think Facebook will soon allow ads to come back because Facebook itself is also researching and developing its own crypto. There are many large corporations of the world that accept cryptocurrency and research for their own so Facebook will not go out.

so facebook has decided to create their own coin? if its true then why they banned those crypto ads? maybe they did not want to advertise those unkown ico becauss they sees it are their good competitor in the future if ever they can really create their own coin but as of now there were still other social media like twitter and instagram that we can use in order to advertise crypto related ads and there were also big companies and business entreprenuers that currently partners with bitcoin. So overall there is nothing to wory about it.

Lol, it is not an actual news that facebook decided, read the post you quoted.  Anyways, I do agree with the action facebook made with regards to ICO ads.  Lots of fake ICO's are using facebook to bait for unsuspecting victime.  I have seen several ICO which have red flags and should be avoided being advertised in facebook and guess what they are able to pull millions of dollars from it scamming poor souls of their money.  So yes facebook must moderate if cannot ban these ICO ads all together.

For me, it will lessen the income of those bounty hunter that always craving to join on facebook campaign ( fb campaign is one of the easiest way to earn bitcoin by sharing those links- and rank of your bitcointalkorg account is not an issue as well ). But the facebook team explain this well, “This policy is intentionally broad while we work to better detect deceptive and misleading advertising practices,” wrote Rob Leathern ,  one of Facebook’s ad tech directors. Imagine, it sick to see a lot of crypto link on your facebook wall and most of them is a scam.

I think the effect is only minimal. When it was freshly implemented a lot overreacted, I presume that because Facebook is a really
big social media platform. It isn't something you can ignore, considering the fact that the massive amount of users and publicity
it harbors is incomparable. But with the number of other effective social media platforms out there, ICO's can still advertised and
get on with or without facebook's assistance. Things will get on and progress. Too bad since facebook campaigns are good sources
of income with bounties and campaigns.

It was pure overreaction like you said, and anyone that over reacted possibly did not read the full news and then jump to conclusion based on the headline. We have forgotten that what the media is always looking for is the traffic and they will always want to paint the headline worse than what the article or the real happening actually depicts.

It never really had any effect on the market and at the end, Facebook is already trying to screen the ICO adverts as long as it is legal and they can get it verified.

facebook campaigns isnt really worth it at all because they only pay a little or less due to the fact that the allocated reward for this bounty is only a small percentage, unlike to sig campaign and other forms of bounty such as translation , blogging , etc. They usually pays higher. anyways , we shoudnt get worry about it because there are still many social media out there like twitter and youtube that we can use inorder to promote a campaign  for advertising purposes.
This is not even about Facebook campaign, this is about the adverts that Facebook itself runs. If you feel Facebook campaign should be scrapped so that you can get more for your signature, then you are absolutely asking for too much because there is no campaign that does not make impact one way or the other.

Facebook target is only on scam ICOs and not general, and as long as you can show how legitimate you are as an ICO, you will still have your page running and to me, that is a good step and well thoughtful of them,

With the new news that emerged from facebook that facebook no longer allow promoting bitcoin ads on In it, but until now the investors and the bitcoin members will not shake And without facebook bitcoin still running like
Why on earth should anyone even shake because of news like that? It is not like Facebook is against cryptocurrency or the blockchain technology and they are throwing out their hatred, what they are more concerned about is the scam ICOs and with a lot that is going on being an unregulated environment, what do you think they would have done better than what they are already doing. Moreover, it is not like the legitimate ones are not already continuing with the adverts.

It really won't have any effect.  I don't think anyone really looks at the ads that are placed on facebook.  You are far more likely to look at your friends post if he reposts something about a particular ICO imo.

why not? Of course it is, it does have a lot of effect especially to most bounty hunters that depends on their facebook accounts in order to get a higher reward as possible but now they cannot just earned because facebook doesnt allow it anymore.  it does also have an effect to the market because the potential investors will become less if they didnt see these kind of ads in facebook. You know many people are already using facebook globally.

Well!  Its not only on Facebook that ICO displays their ads,  but Facebook is the number one social media and that will make the banning of ICO ads have effect on ICO market.

The new policy is the advertising of all related to the encryption currency, is not only to crack down on those who try to sell directly to encrypt currency or encrypted tokens, COINS wallet advertising will also be banned, such as other mining, including the ETH, hardware and other related ads will also be prohibited Facebook.

Their policies have a huge impact on consumer behavior.

If your question was what would be the effect on ICOs if Facebook puts a ban on cryptocurrency advertisement, then the answer is quite simply not much of an effect may be the ICOs would lose one platform for advertisement. There are many other social media's where ICOs do their advertisement through us. So that wouldn't make a whole big of an effect to the advertisements of ICOs.
Losing Facebook is big, after all Facebook is probably the biggest social media site in the entire world so they are losing at big platform for them so I think the effects are going to be a lot bigger than many think, this is not going to stop icos, but it is going to slow them down a little bit and when we take into account that the market is kind of slow and the know your customer policy issues then you are talking about a lot of investments lost for the icos.
Losing Facebook is not big, but Facebook losing the revenue they are generating from those ICO adverts is the one that is big. Trust me bro, they have been getting a lot, and it is just because they would want to at least consider the community and the users since they cannot really get to screen the spammers, then that just had to happen.

It seems before anything and as long as it pertains to ICOs now, you will need to get a legit verified document to be able to do anything and that is good enough for the community.
Facebook is not going to deny itself the huge profits they can get through advertising cryptocurrencies, so something else must be at stake here and the most likely option is they were pressured to do it, it is possible they are being paid to not advertise cryptocurrencies and if that is the case then we can't compete with the money of governments and banks since they basically have all the fiat of the world.

Facebook is a very important channel except for signatures and twitter. The ban on ICOs would greatly affect their ability to reach a hard cap, activities on facebook in my country are very popular, many people have known crypto through it.

Fellas! There is a lot of misconception going on here because Facebook don't really ban ICO but they ban crypto related ads and I think is because of crypto scam which is happening simultaneously this days.
Mind you, Twitter is also about to do so either as I heard.

Having the same perception which i do suspect theres someone behind on such ban because same as you said FB can really make out money out of those advertisement made by ICO which they do already impose restriction which they do even know that it can really affect their revenue but the decisions had been made already.Be ready on the next ban which would be on Twitter upcoming next.

the effect of facebook news banning crypto ads is the bitcoin price that goes down, because the negative news about crypto keeps the price down. and reportedly not only facebook that prohibits crypto ads but twitter and google will both prohibit crypto ads.

Right now Facebook's banned ICOs advertisement but There are lots of other platform for ICO advertisement to increase crowd funding, token sales and ico listing.

Here is the best place:
https://www.applancer.co/advertisements
https://www.applancer.co/ico-list

Thousands of relevant traffic daily based. No need for other advertisement. 100% genuine and crypto relevant traffic.
Social media such as facebook and twitter sa a great impact in promoting and spreading the importance and benefits of Bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies. So it is best way to find way to left the ban of bitcoin on this platform soon.

The biggest problem is that ICO's promotional media are becoming more limited. Because we all know, Facebook is a social media with the largest number of users. So naturally if we campaign on Facebook certainly many who see or know about the ICO. If Facebook wants to ban Crypto ads, they should consider it first.
