Merit system is not working, failed!

To me, I feel is working to an extent. It has helped make everyone's account to be static and only by one's efforts can one rank up. Before now, it was just all about signature campaigns and no one really cared about their post quality. But at least post quality has significantly improved and the forum is more meaningful now.

I think the member itself should choose a topic that really contribute to this forum, cause most of time people prefer to post in a thread were in, it's already have 1-50 pages. Usually this kind of thread are just repeating the answer by everyone just to complete their required post. So try to find a unique topic, and give an informative post so you can get merit.

The merit points system works well. Even though I haven't got any merith yet. In the Russian-speaking branch merit get even harder than in English. To earn merit I began to learn English. Began to do translations of interesting topics in Russian. I want to achieve success and wish you the same.

Merit system is neccesary, only thing is we need more sMerit in circulation. Maybe we will hear some news regarding this. Releasing more sMerit would be a great decision to everyone.

It is good to see merit circulation like this because it shows that merit system has actually had real positive effects on shitposters, who are not able to earn merits through their threads.

well, that just a new system.. too fast if u judge merit failed. we just dont know what is a criteria a good comment as merit need, that the problem. we think our comment was good, but maybe its not count as good comment in merit system.

And what you wrote here is a good example of a shitty 3rd world post by someone trying to write in a language they don't really know.  What's the purpose of you writing this?  It contributes nothing, even if you wrote it perfectly--which you very much didn't.  Stick to the local boards.  You're never going to get merit points by writing such drivel.  You're the whole reason the merit system was created, IMO.

Sorry, but what about those who do not speak the language and use an interpreter.

There are local sections for those who do not speak English. Please don't go the the English sections and use Google Translate, as that makes pointless hard to understand posts. There are merit sources in local sections as well.

If you are a "real newcomer" as in someone here not just to make money, your rank shouldn't be much of a concern for you, and you'll get merits as you learn.

Let us not easily jump into conclusion.  I think we need to be patient with Theymos and the mods as they approve new merit sources.  As the number of merit sources increase, (hopefully) the number of members that will evaluate every posts will increase also resulting to the sufficiency in the merit distribution.

I empathize with you regarding the frustration that even though some of your posts can be considered as quality posts, you are not receiving any merit which makes it hard for you to rank up.  This is the result of the transitioning status from the previous ranking system to the new ranking system (with merit system).  As I have said, we are only in a transition period.  Sooner or later, everything will settle down.

Do not worry, you are not the alone in this journey of being affected by this transition and changes.  The higher ranked members (especially the senior members, full members, and hero members) are the ones that are greatly affected by this merit system.

Overall, we need to get back to the real intention of introducing the system - for the benefit of the forum and everyone else.  The Merit System is not designed to harm anyone.  If you find some abnormalities regarding it, don't just judge the system but be an innovator. 

Think about it, Suggest solutions, Discussed with others, and find ways to improve it (or to perfect it).

Merit is generally a good idea, I can agree here. But you have to create very special posts and since then it's not sure you'll get a merit. The merit requirements are too harsh and new members are disappointed very soon if their merit score remains low. 
It's a big injustice for us new members registrated after introduction of merits. The members registrated before are still spamming and have already the rank. They had nothing to do for this, only spamming twitter and facebook bounty reports for getting a very high rank. A situation as we have it now is not fair to all Newbies and Jr. Members. The high rank accounts with low effort posts are probably laughing at us now because they have already their high rank.
It's better to force all established members to begin at 0 merits, so everyone has the same conditions and no advantages to those who registrated before 2018. I hope you can understand my point of view. If everyone would begin at 0 there were better equal conditions for ranking up and stop spam from lof effort high ranked accounts.

But the merit system from now is very demotivating because it makes for 95 percent only a very low progress.

It's look merit system working fine. You didn't get merit it doesn't mean that system aren't working. Yes forum flooding by new people but maximum come for bounty and airdrop. Not for merit , I mean they just come for earn money. They didn't try to make some useful or HQ post. I just visit your profile. You posted only one thread that your own. Others are all shit reply on other post. How you expect merit ?
And what does you mean no one will give you free merit ? It's true. Why someone will give you merit on shitpost ? You must need pay your time, knowledge and idea for this forum. Money can't give you merit expect some corrupted member's. Forget complain and try to make some good post.
