I don't see how anyone can forecast what will happen to the XRP price in the long run before the current legal matter is settled.

I dont think ripple will lose this case againts sec. Why ? Because if ripple charged by sec because it is claimed to be securities token, many ICO will get the same charged especially ethereum. Ethereum was an ICO project and maybe the first Succeeded ICO in crypto history.

I see it from two points of view, if they lose the case before the SEC, without a doubt the price will go down, because many traders panic and withdraw all their investment, the other scenario I see is that they can continue to trade taking advantage of the fact that they can Pump and generate liquidity, it would be a currency that would become a purely speculative tool in the market, where they would not care what moment they are going through because it is very attractive for speculation, because of its low commissions, because it is something fast to move money, to unless this affects XRP nodes and causes blockchain delays.

Of course, the second scenario is unlikely to occur, but it is within the possibilities, at best, XRP has to come out victorious before the SEC, in addition to the time it has taken to give a new ATH in this coin. And finally, if the market speculators see it viable that xrp can reach $5, they will not hesitate to do so, since a movement of this type would cause a very good profit for those who make the effort to raise the price, in this case the whales, such as and as the Law of Effort which in Wyckoff's theory is widely named.

You are yet to recover your losses .We seen strong uptrend from all the top coin of crypto except XRP .I think they have passed through few bad news and delisted from few exchanges . So that it think you could sell it to buy few BTC which can give you a good return certainly today or tomorrow .

Just going with the flow of btc and eth. But i think xrp might raise 10-20% more and thats it
But now all coins are following btc and eth if they fall o most all follow. Until price gets stabled or starts to raise.but for me 5$ is impossible for real.

Anything can be possible in this market and none knows what will happen next. Maybe you're right in current situation. But Ripple might take another bullish rally if another good news is published regarding the SEC lawsuit like the recent one or relisting news into those exchanges which already delisted XRP back in January. BTW, correction is a common thing in this market and it'll be done after any bullish rally.

Since the SEC has already stated that bitcoin and Ethereum are not securities due to their decentralized nature, I would not equate other projects to XRP in this case.

Nope, SEC recently said that their previous statements regarding BTC/ETH does not mean they aren't securities. The SEC lawyer said that in court a few days ago on record.

maybe after 3 years after the OP posted, he will be seeing a green light on this coin. that is, if he is still holding xrp. if in case xrp will totally win their case, 5 bucks is not hard to achieve, imo. however, it will only happen if there will be good news one after another.

Not too sure still if Ripple will ever reach $5 anytime soon but it could possibly reach again to around $2 since currently it has been increasing it’s price. And though some think Ripple is not worth to hodl, a lot of people still buy them hoping for it to reach $4- $5 soon. And the case against SEC still hasn’t been settled yet so maybe it’ll either dump again like years ago or it could skyrocket and possibly reach at a new ATH again.
