Before January no one even thought about that bitcoin will falldown just like this... Every ones thinking was if it run like this more two week we will be rich. that's why people take a risk and invest with the big capital in Btc. Now its really a bad time for them. I suggest they should now Hold it for long time and wait until the market raise again. maybe its raising slowly but Btc will recover its price again it sure. So be patience and watch.

Advance sorry for my bad English...

I have a friend who bought bitcoin during this peak season. When the bitcoin price was 18-20k USD. Now he is sad and disappointed seeing that the current price has dropped to 50% and more and he is afraid he is going to lose all. In short he lost his hope and faith in bitcoin already. Has anyone here did the same as he did? If you did invest in that amount what did you do to your bitcoin, did you sell it or still holding it?

I this is very uncertain things to happen in investment, buying at the resistance level where it reaches the peak then suddenly fell down. If this thing will happen to me the most reasonable to do is cut the loss. 50% down from portfolio is too much to lose.

I completey understand that your friend  is scared. It wasn't the good moment to sell. but don't think to the price you bought. Just look at the future, the bitcoin is recovering, it  will probably hit the 20k$ soon.

Has anyone here did the same as he did? If you did invest in that amount what did you do to your bitcoin, did you sell it or still holding it?

If I may ask, did he check or at least research before buying bitcoins when the its prices where around that line? I mean, by just looking at the price history charts he may be able to observe that the jump on the price was abnormal and was bound to decrease in the coming days. Another question, what are his goals on his investments? Is it for short or long-term? Personally, I would not sell my bitcoins even if I incurred losses at this point since prices may still recover in the following months/years.

I invested bitcoin at $ 15k. Now I do not want to look at it again Sad

You may incurred losses at this period but if you are not in a rush, then let time do its magic. Slowly, countries are now adopting to a digitalized form of payment into transactions and bitcoin may be the gateway towards this development. Just wait for the time being in order to minimize your losses.

Bitcoin- in bullish time

The only thing that i can say to the people who invested in bitcoin from the price of $18,000 - 20,000 is to don't give up and don't lose hope if you bought at that range because just think that decision that you have been made is a lesson for your life to not get hype in the market because chasing hypes or pumps will never give you satisfaction at the end. Hold those bitcoin and wait for the chance to breakeven or get some profit from long term holding.

Those who bought bitcoin at the level of $19k should not panic, its normal to feel like that but don't focus much on the price movements always think for the goal you set when you invest. The price is highly volatile but expect the market to bounce back in the coming months, just hold it tight.

It would be abetter choice to hold than to sell. Sureky, the crash won't be permanent. And as we can see, the market is showing signs othat cryptos are recovering slowly and that is already something to be thankful of. Avoid selling and continue holding. The market price will soon rise and it will be able to recover this year  So just trust the process.

Just be optimistic because things will be better for Bitcoin's market value eventually. Given that your friend already invested money, he should avoid selling because that will just be a loss. The best thing to do now is to wait until its market value starts to rise again. It is also advisable to invest more since the value of Bitcoin is still low. Huge profit will then be earned when its value fully recovered from the crash.

Tell your friends to keep bitcoins and do not sell them now. Wait for some time, bitcoin will improve again. If he loses confidence in bitcoin and sells it now, your friend will lose a lot of money.

Well, I have friends that really did invest on the peak prices of bitcoins. The story behind those decisions are pretty funny because these guys never really believed in cryptos and just laughed at me whenever I talked about it to them. But after august, they were starting to have second thoughts and then when december came, they just bought like mad dogs without even asking for basic things because they were too shy to ask me.

Now, when january came in, they were regretting so much that they never asked me and are on the verge of selling. Good thing that they considered asking me first before deciding, and man, I just started laughing like hell. I just couldn't control myself. lol. But shortly after that when I learned about their sad story(lol), I gave them my advice which was; since they are already at a loss, they might as well go all in on it and not bitch out when things are not going the  way they wanted it to be. But I still clarified it to them that I cannot assure them that it is the best decision. In fact, I even offered to buy their bitcoins if they decided they really wanted to give up but they refused and told me that they'd ride this train with me and drink together when prices go up again.

Your friend does not need to invest in crypto at all if he is afraid of losing his investment, there are certain risk in investing, and you often need to put up a money where you aren't need to be afraid of losing it at all.

Yes even one of my friend is under this kind of situation and he entered his trade when the market was trading near the 19k USD and now he has been stuck in the trade and he is holding almost investment of around 30k at that price level. I know that it is not easy to manage your lose trade but he is still holding on those trades as he did not lose his hope and he is expecting that bitcoin will reach 19k in the coming months. I also gave him advice that right now the market is weak and you need to wait for the confirmation of strength and then enter your trades according to the strong candle pattern. you can even enter buy positions right now so that you can average your cost of buying.

But why did your friend bought at such a high price, everyone with any experience in crypto should have known the price was ready to dump at any minute, it comes a time where you need to look at a market objectively and say the market is overvalued and abstain to invest anymore in the market until there is a correction, after the correction it is time once again to invest in bitcoin and other alts.

I understand the feeling of seeing your portfolio dumps like that. And we can't help but panicked. It's normal. But for those people who have been here in crypto world for a year and more, they just see this as normal. And it's right, this is just normal. This will end up well. Markets are naturally volatile and there are things that we cannot predict. Just hold and have faith.

Your friend took a risk by buying bitcoin at those peak price of $18K - $20k I believed his decision to buy at those prices was based on some stupid speculations around that time that the price of bitcoin will raise to $50k which turn out to be red, well the best advice to him is keep hodling with a hope that the price will recover, how soon? no one can accurately predict the future price.

Crypro market is highly speculative and risky. No ways to predict it which are effective in the fiat world can be used for it. I'm sure your friend knew it before making such an investment. Now he should take the full responsibility for this decision. And wait fot the best situation.

Every investment come with risk, every business objective is profit, so if you invest on bitcoin when the price is 18k to 20k$, I don't see sense in it to sell now, that the price is around 8$ now, if you are not in any financial pressure, then you need  to hold it for now. Sell your bitcoin now does not make economic sense.

I think they could still hold their bitcoin until the price is back to increase so they can get their money back and after that, they can wait if the price is down again. but I am not sure how long they can hold their bitcoin because we are now on the down of the price so maybe they need to be patient while the price could increase in anytime.
