It might be very frustrating and painful to look at the values of bitcoin now, but I guess your friend best option would be to hold those bitcoin that he bought at the price range of $18k-$20k USD rather than selling all of it away at such a huge loss.

All I can say is, this is not the right time for your friend to sell his Bitcoin if it is purchased on 18K. Your friend will be in great lost if he sell it now. All I can advise is hold it now till the end of the year. Because by that time Bitcoin may reach 30K to 50K$. Remember good things happens to people who patiently wait.

I have a friend who bought bitcoin during this peak season. When the bitcoin price was 18-20k USD. Now he is sad and disappointed seeing that the current price has dropped to 50% and more and he is afraid he is going to lose all. In short, he lost his hope and faith in bitcoin already. Has anyone here did the same as he did? If you did invest in that amount what did you do to your bitcoin, did you sell it or still holding it?
I think they panicked and feared it was a very natural thing. Moreover, they buy Bitcoin at a very expensive price and now really down the price. Who does not panic at the current price of Bitcoin? Panic may be but do not let us sell Bitcoin when we are again panicked and emotion like that. The main thing we do when we want to invest is to accept any risk that will happen later. And the person you are telling me, he is not yet fully able to accept Bitcoin. He is only tempted by the enormous price of Bitcoin and hopes to get the benefits as expected. If from the beginning we think like this, it's wrong. Because here our patience is really tested and must be able to pass all the process.

there are people who can anticipate the behavior of people and the formation of a relationship to a particular subject or phenomenon. in our case, these are cryptocurrencies. people saw a huge increase in 2017, fell in love with crypto, brought their money. now all we have is hope and the bitterness of disappointment. I mean, realistically, there is no reason to give such high cost events that we will never be able to hold in your hands. humility and expectation to all!

The lower the bitcoin price value the better to invest because it has great potential to earn more profit when it gets high again.. he might as well hold his coins and wait and don't lose hope he can still have the chance to recover what he invest..knowing its condition is really unpredictable.

I am sure that many people would have invested at those levels and it must be very hard situation for them. When I see just 5% drop or more in bitcoin holdings, I get worried sometimes. Someone loosing 50% in few months will certainly fee bad especially if he has invested a large amount. Another problem with such a huge crash is that the money gets stuck for lot of time. No sensible person will withdraw in loss and thus wait for it to recover to $20000. Since, that is going to take time, money is stuck for that time period.

That is why, it is always important to just invest the amount that we can afford to lose and never invest money more than that level because it will give a lot of stress to us and it will not make us feel comfortable over the time when the price is dumping or giving our portfolio a loss. So it is better to be safe than sorry so even bitcoin reaches $1,000 then it is not that bad for us.

I will never believe that a person can not worry about the fact that the price of its investments decreased by 3 times. You need to have nerves of steel. I also would not sell their coins, but those coins I earned. I didn't buy them for Fiat. So I will hold them even if the price drops to a minimum. I also believe in bitcoin.

Yes.It's the faith that matters.Once you invested in bitcoin i'm sure you know already how risky it is especially if you invested with a very high capital.I suggest that it's better to keep on holding your bitcoin and stretch your patience more, than selling it in a low price and lose 50% of your capital.Holding is still the best thing to do particularly in this very down market.

That'll be a devastating one if they bought it at that price when its market price goes down almost 60% of its price when they bought it. I think, selling it is pointless this team and hodling is the least they can do. Just wait, believe and have patience because bitcoin hasn't reach its peak yet.

Yeah, probably some are experiencing that same situations and probably feel so worried. If he/she strongly believe in crypto that wanted to get back the losses then patience must be the key to somehow can do the break even. As of these moment, bitcoin still in dip so holding for now is the option to at least help the coin to recover and probably will stop to it from falling.

Even me i bought bitcoin when the value was high and right now o lost almost 75 percent of my investment so i am one of the worrying if the bitcoin will survive again after the biggest fall of the value so until now im still holding my coins i am not one of the panic seller because i know someday bitcoin will rise and survive again after the fall.

Is really unfortunate about OP's friend. Buying at such high price will be a very bad news and some people could have bought more than one. I feel it, just hodl and keep being patient. Something good could happen soon.

Do not sell bitcoin but hold bitcoin and be patient waiting for an increase in bitcoin prices. Bitcoin will not fall apart but will surely increase again. Keep thinking positive, you will benefit from bitcoin.

Yeah that’s a good idea because many had predicted that bitcoin will bounce back  after it downfalls for several days now but if you're one of those don't panic wait for the right time just  be patience. Bitcoin will surpassed last year price.

Its very hard in that situation, if i was in that situation the only way i can do is just hold, and if i have a extra money i will buy more because i know bitcoin price will recover soon, and better to control our emotion that is our number one enemy when the price change be patience.

Here I would like to throw some light on the human nature which is called as greed. In all of our personality we have this, and it always try to dictate us to do the decisions in the hurry and affect the budget. Last year when bitcoin was at the level of $18k and above, the news started circulating that bitcoin is going to fall to the level of $14k and all the people who had their money invested with knowing about news started taking out their money. At that time greed came over certain people and they invested just to earn the profit and without any prior knowledge of the market.

This is one of the reason why there are a lot of people who are losing their trust on cryptocurrency because they are not well knowledgeable about how the market works when they are just starting to invest.

One of the most important rules of crypto investing is not investing more than what you are willing to lose!

if your friend wants to quickly get back what he invested he could try day trading which would be giving him some varying profits on a daily basis depending on the cryptocurrency he chooses to trade but he needs to learn the art its not something you learn in a day.
