Because he is your friend, you should not have allowed him to buy the Bitcoins at that Peak season at all, because it carries high risk. The simple rule of buy at low prices and sell at high prices must always be considered and applied in this field if you don't want to be encountering losses as this. However, let your friend still understands that Bitcoin is still the safest and surest way to invests if and only if he can still hold on to the ones he has with long patience to witness the next boom for sure not minding the volatility which is so natural.

Well, regretting is unprofessional, those whos invest at peak period, can still hold on your bitcoin, it's not advisable to sell now, they is no business sense in buying high and sell low,

I understand your friend's frustration. Even I if I experienced the same, I will doubt and I will lose hope. But in the crypto market, you have to be strong because it is normal. Just hold. Bitcoin will reach $20,000 again soon. We will celebrate again. Don't sell low.

Basic principle that everybody always been taught but hardly implement "Don't invest you dont want to lose in Crypto" a simple but powerful, if you afford to lose what you invested and made a mistake buy buying in high price tendency is that you can afford to wait for the price go up, and definitely it could go up, its a Crypto's lifecycle

Myself, I don't quite agree with this market truism. First, losing anything, however little, is not a good idea, to begin with, because if you agree to lose from beginning, why trade at all? You start trading with the aim at and hope of earning, right? Further, if you invest only what you can leave to rest, meaning you don't particularly care about the possible loss of your investments, then you won't care much for the profits earned either, because they will be as small. In a nutshell, we have to risk, but definitely not risk all.

Sorry but there is no statement above that is define as small? afford to lose doesn't mean an small amount, it only means the amount you are willing to take risk, please don't put a spoon on the mouth of the others, not everybody has the same amount of comprehensions.

Of course buying at the peak is not worth it. At least enough to look at the graph, but if the purchase was with it and sit, I think more will show the cue ball highs.

Who does not worry if the investment price drops dramatically. Moreover, the amount of investment is quite large, we are certainly worried and confused. Before we act better we consult to someone who is experienced in bitcoin, so we are not wrong in taking the way. I will also search for information through news and media in circulation. After getting accurate information, then I just decided to sell or hold my bitcoin. So I can reduce the risk of my loss.

I bought some bitcoin when the price around $16,000 last year but no worries at all because I'm fan of hodlers. I will not do panic selling and have a goal to holding them longer time. Am I losing? it's not! Because I only invest my extra money on bitcoin so tell your friend, everything's gonna be alright.

I have a friend who bought bitcoin during this peak season. When the bitcoin price was 18-20k USD. Now he is sad and disappointed seeing that the current price has dropped to 50% and more and he is afraid he is going to lose all. In short he lost his hope and faith in bitcoin already. Has anyone here did the same as he did? If you did invest in that amount what did you do to your bitcoin, did you sell it or still holding it?

Selling at this point is a bad move. Tell you friend that it's okay, he can still get his money back if he will be patient enough to wait for the market to settle again. This market situation will not last forever, in time the market will go up again. Take note that this is not the first time that this kind of market crash happened.

I guess that those who have invested in Bitcoin when its price was $20000 are drinking a sedatives, seeing how Bitcoin goes down to $8000 and even below now. I think that this amount of coins which was bought on the high levels resists to growing of Bitcoin, because when the price are coming to about $10000, those holders sell all crypto currency they have.

If you invested in bitcoin when it was 18k-$20k then you should not be thinking about selling. You can panic, get scared but do not let emotions get the better of you, don't sell. Wait and hold your coins and ride this bearish wave into the bull market. It might look like the market won't go back up again but it will recover and the price will start climbing back up again and will go into another bull market.

If I were him the best thing to do is to hold because in a first place he invest to bitcoin to get a profit its normal to worry about losing his money because its a part of investment but if you notice every year bitcoin usually hit the high value every time the year end is coming don't lose hope be more patience and it will turn out good.

That was not a great idea then. Its is a lesson to everybody thay it was not a good move. Let us be more strategic when it comes to trading and investing in the world of crypto currency. Price can go very high so dont rush things. We can be richer if we do right moves.

Absolutely! The future belongs to those who are investing into crypto currencies rather specifically into bitcoin at present no matter at which price they are getting involved with it. The point is that many people are unfamiliar with bitcoin at the moment and the prices will shoot up damn high with increasing support. By then, it would not be possible for everyone to invest into bitcoin and keep it in wallets.

Investing on a range of $18k ~ $20k is really bad because there is a huge chance for you to lose all of your investment since the price is not really stable as of now. The best thing to do is just hold your capital and wait for the price of bitcoins to increase before investing a huge amount.

No doubt, those people would be in a great worry by looking at the present market. Not only this, but the dip has been a little longer than it usually remains. But if they decide to sell out now, not only will they lose invested money but the chance to make some profit too. All of us know that bitcoin is in its infancy and has a lot of potential to grow. It can be 30k dollars by the end of this year. So there is no need to get sacred, just hold and relax.

Fortunately for me I do not need to find out what your friend is feeling because I did not bought at those prices, when I saw the price of bitcoin growing so fast I was pretty sure we were in the middle of a bubble, and it turned out that I was right, your friend is in a very bad position but if he wants to avoid losing money then the only option he has is to hold his bitcoin until it reaches those prices again.

Your friend must have been carried away by the stupid speculations surrounding bitcoin that time, recall there was a prediction then that the price of bitcoin will $50K in January 2018 which might prompted him to buy at $18K-$20K however presently the price is around $7K to $8K  the available option now is to keep hodling there is possibility that the price might reach that mark in the nearest future I.e break-even.

It was very obvious that those people who invest on that day are just joining the hype in the market and they are not well knowledgeable about how the system works and this is the main reason why they quit on trading because they obviously lose a huge amount of investment.

At that time it was expected that bitcoin price is very soon going to reach to 25000$ and my personal view is that they were very right at that time, now i think that they need to wait and do not lose heart, because very good bitcoin price is expected to reach that price and even it will cross the price in which they trade bitcoin and will even give them a good profit.
