I don't think it's possible.

BTC is the leader of all crypto currencies, although it has the opportunity to learn from BTC's mistakes, but bitcoin is the pioneer, and many people still only know BTC!

Ethereum will definitely take over. It is cheaper and faster to transfer, it has better tech, a better team, smart contracts, etc.

Bitcoin only has first mover advantage. Ethereum beats it in every other way. More and more people are using ethereum instead of bitcoin to buy alts.

Bitcoin market dominance is at an all time low right now of 34%. It's only a matter of time.

Well, this is possible. Etherium is not getting left behind of other cryptocurrencies. It would be a good consolation if etherium will lead as well. This only proves that cryptocurrencies will exist long.

i dont think Ethereum will over take Bitcoin anytime soon. Bitcoin is the first of its kind and its crowned the King of all crypto currencies. Bitcoin is far from Ethereum. The only way Ethereum will over take Bitcoin is only if Bitcoin crashes totally. but i dont think that will happen.
Same here. Ethereum is not even close to that. Only because it is at the top of alternative coins and showing some progress for few weeks ago does not mean it can de-crown bitcoin. That is never going to happen. The reason is simple, there is a huge difference between the total amounts of these to coins. Even with an equal number of supporters, Ethereum cannot make as much progress as bitcoin can. Also, people are more attracted towards bitcoin.

I think that it will, it seems like it gets close here and there but more frequent. What do you think the result of a flip would be even if it lasted an hour? How would that affect the prices of BTC/ETH? What would be some outcomes of a flip?
Well, in my opinion, there's a chance but there'll be more years to come for this thing to happen. Indeed, the market value of Bitcoin crashed but same thing happened not only with etherium but almost all cryptos. Both of etherium and Bitcoin's value are down so the distance or difference still on their value is the same.

I know it has got advantages over Bitcoins like faster transactions. But still it will take a long time before it may take over Bitcoins.

It could very well surpass bitcoin's marketcap, but it's not a "take over".  Nobody owns bitcoin, and bitcoin will always be bitcoin, no matter the price of anything else.
Yes, bitcoin was still the head of all cryptocurrency yes maybe this time ETH was arising but it cannot still overcome bitcoin. Its not that easy to beat bitcoin because when you look on its value and how useful the two bitcoin was still ahead of it. Aside from that no one controls bitcoin unlike to etherium that was manage by companies.

Well there is a possibility but from the time being it would take a lot of time before ethereum could reach the peak value if bitcoin based on the market trending.

pump coins don't usually have a long lifespan. they always come in with a big bang and stay on top for a while until they are replaced by the next pump coin.

always remember this: the pumpers can make a lot more profit from fresh blood in the market instead of using the decrepit and over used thing they have pumped and dumped 1000 times.

Well i agree on that maybe the etherium today is really next go btc in tems of popularity bit it doesnt mean that it will surpass bitcoin in the near future maybe it will be next to btc forever because we can see the big difference on their price and status. However I believe that bitcoin and etherium is really both profitable and I really experience gaining on it.

I don't think so because bitcoin is the valuable crytocurrency so Ethereum will not easy to overtake bitcoin, when you look at the value and how to be usefull bitcoin is the higher or in the upper so for me they cannot overtake bitcoin.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are designed for different areas of activity, and they are the best, at the moment, in its direction. And my opinion is that they will live all the time while there is a crypto currency and no one will put forward them from the forefront, because Bitcoin is the beginning of the history of digital money in cryptography, it is the foundation for absolutely all crypto-currencies that already exist and that will be, but Ethereum gave a new development in the digital world of money!
The result is that ETHEREUM is an infrastructure or a decentralized network, and BITCOIN is a currency.

They are both very different technologies. But answering your question, if this happens it will never be in terms of price. It will be in terms of market cap. I feel ETH can overtake BTC’s market cap by mid 2018. If not overtake it’ll definitely be close to it.

might happen, might never happen, and by ‘overtake’ I’m guessing that you mean when one ETH is worth more than one BTC.
The two coins are taking very different paths, my best guess for BTC is that it’ll end up as a store of value, a commodity, unless the team tackle payment processing capacity and time.
ETH is a more flexible tool, a platform for business but both coins have the potential to change and develop.
The future of both coins are down to the communities and teams involved in them.

And I for one am fascinated to learn and watch.

Bitcoin was developed as a store of value. It is meant first and foremost to be used as a currency, and that is what it is good at.
People know Bitcoin to be the definition of a blockchain (as correct or incorrect as that maybe), and when they go to invest in cryptocurrencies, they think about Bitcoin first.
Bitcoin has the purpose, and Bitcoin has the branding.
Ethereum was developed as a platform for “smart contracts”. The currency, Ether, exists as a way to make transactions on the Ethereum blockchain, but the blockchain’s focus is on being a place for dapps to exist.
People are less familiar with Ethereum. They only know it is Bitcoin’s younger, less valuable brother.
Ethereum doesn’t focus on value in currency, it focuses on providing a platform for others. On top of that, it is less well known by the general public. Wink
