It is not impossible. Any coin can take over bitcoin, it is only a matter of time or how the coin will be successful and how they can recognize by the markets. If one coin can be accepted on the market that can be use for purchases? No doubt it will be the coin that will instantly rise to the top and left bitcoin in dust.

Nope... Not even close to a flippening.

Even though Ether's price has continued to stay at a level above 0.1 BTC, doesn't mean that it is anywhere close to taking over bitcoin. Its community is nowhere near bitcoin's community on bitcointalk, first of all. And the public awareness for Ether is just no match for bitcoin.

Even if Ethereum temporarily overtakes bitcoin in trading volume, which some coins have already had, it's just due to hype and not because ether is really better or more popular than bitcoin or anything like that.

No, never. I think in my opinion Ethereum will never take over Bitcoin. Some people say that the protocol of Ethereum is better than Bitcoin, so someday the price of Ethereum may beat the price of Bitcoin. I do not know about that. I do not know if that is true or not. But all I can say is that Bitcoin will not be defeated as easy as that. Maybe Bitcoin will be defeated, but it will take a lot of effort and a lot of time, I guess. However, I still believe in Bitcoin that Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency in the world and the founder of crypto world. I hope that this situation of price decreasing of Bitcoin will give me some chance to collect Bitcoin as much as possible to make profit as big as possible because I am sure that the price of Bitcoin will go back to normal again.

I think the likelihood of this happening is very small because of the bitcoin price too high compared to the others and besides bitcoin is central to benchmark all the coins so very unlikely bitcoin is replaced by altcoin.

I think it is possible but it will take a long time, maybe three years or four years ETH will overcome the BTC because now BTC is facing many problems because technology is changing more and more rapidly. ETH has the blockchain 2.0 technology to support many of the current currency to make transactions quickly. With BTC using blockchain 1.0 technology slow and stagnant with large transaction volume as it takes a lot of time.

theres no impossible in this community since all the coins has their own project and platforms,its depend on those coin and team how they will manage to grow every coins they create and so progress will follow.but ethereum is too far from bitcoin,long way ahead if this will happen its fine but for sure not in the next five years.

to date, very many users are talking about projects that can shorten the duration of transactions and the cost of these Bitcoin transactions. Comparing BTC and ETH will cause ETH fanatics to react. Many ETH fanatics are rude people. in Crypto anything is possible so prepare to see huge changes anytime. People in crypto are mostly greedy bunch. not to mention heaps of hackers ready to steal your money. Crypto coins are not the last. Now crypto has experience the competitions from within. and BTC and ETH experience traffic jam, if BT and ETH will not fix the problems, both of them will dive to the bottom of the sea. I have seen new technology came to surface to replace blockchain but I don't think we are ready for that yet because crypto has to be saturated 1st for the better alternative.
