Bitcoin in 2018 will be at $50,000

I think that depends on the psychology of investors and certainly the bitcoin price will increase because 2018 will have a lot of evil soldiers to this market! Large nations began to show signs of accepting it as an asset

There are all the time these forecasts, sometimes it is 50.000$, sometimes higher, sometimes lower.
In fact there are some big players waiting outside who want to join the markets, but there is no green light for that.

A lot depends on the regulation in this case. If this happens i see a good chance for the growth of BTC again. In which heights, nobody can tell.

Bitcoin's price drop was because it had gone up too fast, so now is the price fixing phase of bitcoin, why February was a month that bitcoin could not afford it, and I'd rather believe it because many people needed Chinese Spring Festival I think it's inevitable that bitcoin will soar as soon as February is over, and if it really ends in $ 50,000 in 2018, I now want to consider buying more bitcoin, and I believe that bitcoin will get better and better.

BTC maximalists are like battered girlfriends that just won't leave. Bitcoin won't scale, won't grow in price and any meaningful and useful scaling proposal will be rejected by the mining pools. The reason why is greed rules BTC. The sooner people realize BTC is no longer Satoshi's coin, and probably not even his favorite project, the sooner we can move on to a superior technology.

You know, Satoshi probably went on to a project that fixes many of the flaws in BTC.

You are right, mining is dominated by a few mining pools not even enough to count on one hand, there is a huge element of greed which will stunt progression of bitcoin so we end up with numerous forks.

Satoshi must have gone onto new projects and just not identified himself as Satoshi it makes sense for someone that is so into the idea that they would move onto other projects that were evolving from bitcoin.

I have only got back into Skycoin and apparently from it's history there were a lot of developers that worked on bitcoin involved in Skycoin as there was more freedom with Skycoin to do things that were not being taken on board with bitcoin, whether this is wholly true or not who knows but thought it worth a mention.

The possibility could happen, but with the time that has happened and a few weeks the price tends to be stable so to return back in December is also difficult but may occur in March and stalled.
If to be able to touch that price ($ 50,000) is likely to be difficult this year may be up to 2 years.

Did you remember the start of last year. It's around 750 and January in 1000 line. the best bitcoin predictors tell price will hit 3000$. So lots of peoples laugh to them. But BTC goes to around 20000$. No one can predict the price of Bitcoin in end of 2018.

Well that could be possible. Anything can happen the crypto market is really a roller coaster we are experiencing extremely low now but I am positive that Bitcoin will recover in the next coming months thats why I keep on holding.

Novogatz predicted in 2017 that bitcoin will reach $40k in 2018. That might seem being a risky but quite reasonable prediction. Currently, we experience a drop, which is mainly caused by the panic users have at the moment. When we pass this period, the price will again go up, because bitcoin is limited and people are actively mining them.

i dont think so because theres posibilities that bitcoin will dump and dump until he reach the old price because lot of investors withdraw their money and transfer to other coin like ethereum becuase they pump so high now and they see a big profit,

you can't guarantee that, bitcoin price can't go that high without any reason. With the condition right now ( high fees and slow speed of transaction), i think it's imposibble. bitcoin needs new "buzz" that can make people interest to bitcoin

I think that people should really stop focusing about the price once and for all. Until we do that, we will only have the roller-coaster you described. People just react to FUD because they have no clue about what bitcoin really is, or what can it do in the future for our society. Without those fundamentals all they have is a number. If they see the price going up they buy, if they see the price going down they sell. They are so insecure that they will just follow the news and don't stop to think if they are true or not, or if they truly affect bitcoin development or not.

Please remember: bitcoin is still in development, and it has been even when it was worth a few cents, so it wont stop now. If it reaches it's goals it will be amazing, so until we hear news from the devs, saying that they can't solve BTC problems (scalabilty and usability) we should just hold our coins and patiently wait.

I started late in the cryptocurrency market but I can consider myself that I have seen it all. Many people last year have ruled out the price expectation of 3,000$, 5,000$, and 10,000$ thinking that it is a bit foolish to think that Bitcoin will end up with a price below it. Seeing Bitcoin go up to 20,000$ makes me think that everything is possible with Bitcoin and 50,000$ is an achievable price. The price drops of Bitcoin are what I call "shakes" which means that only weak hands are the ones selling and they are the ones that don't have a plan in the first place. Drops are normal since the whales are the ones who influence the price more often.

I guess that much jumping might not be possible in just a year, it's already 2018. I speculate crossing $25K per Bitcoin by the end od 2018.

I think I would rather be happy that bitcoin can recover from 10,000 USD marked again because the price is continuously decreasing up to 7,000 USD marked which is kinda hard to speculate right now if the price can reached 50,000 USD.

I can't imagine a bitcoin increase after having a bear time throughout this time. $50k is a moderate figure when viewed from the last all time high of $20k. At the beginning of 2018, yesterday bitcoin posted its lowest price at $7.5k and resumed today almost to that price again. Nowadays people are more targeting bitcoin back to $5k but it can be said that is very difficult because at the price of $7k the buy wall is very big.
