As a Chinese, I bother for my country, every two days will be the one for BTC the bearer of bad news, we later for this kind of thing has been felt angry, is all some bad guys all day three wave these messages, BTC is actually not too big relations with China.

Do not pay too much attention to the bad news on the cryptocurrency market, because most of it is the target's information of its creator to lower the value of a crypto coin they want to buy more at low value. Be calm and judge their intentions, do not let yourself be a whale prey, remember that.

     Sometimes false news makes the people panic. Panic to sell because according to the news bitcoin can't recover after so many fluctuation,panic to invest because they heard you will lose if you invest,etc....it gives negative thinking to those who didn't really know about bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general. So you need to learn,to have knowledge because it helps you to avoid listening and believing to any false news.

For example, today, once again "China Full ban crypto".   What the...    Why is it causing another crash??  Why is it even "news"?

It was already banned in China back in September 2017.   All trading platforms suspended trading in September.   Anyone from China who still trade Crypto must be using foreign platforms.   Sure, they reported that China added all crypto exchange sites to Great FireWall.   So what?  These people have VPNs!   When I was in China, everyone who visits foreign sites use VPNs.   Yes, China banned VPN as well a long time ago.   So what?  Everyone is still using it.   Just like ignoring the traffic light is illegal in China, but at every intersection, you will see people ignore the red lights... the truth!   Just because it is "illegal", does not mean no one will do it.   

So just this (one) news of China banned Crypto, it was repeatedly used to crash the Crypto market (4 or 5 times).   Do not fall for it!
1.  Summer 2017, China banned ICO.
2.  September 2017, China banned crypto trading.
3.  November or December?  China became unfriendly to crypto mining (Large-scale miners moved oversea already)
4.  January 2018.  China banned websites of foreign crypto exchanges. (VPN!!!)
5.  Today, "China Full Ban Crypto"...  (Really?)

So what is next?
"China really ban crypto"?
"China really full ban crypto"?
"China really really full ban crypto"
"China will jail anyone who trades crypto"
"China will execute anyone who trades crypto"?
"China will nuke every country who trade crypto"??


Stop spreading this nonsense.    What's done was already done in September 2017.   Nothing has changed ever since.  NOTHING really changed in the last 4~5 months.

Same goes for Korean and Indian news.   South Korea did not really ban crypto.  Just one guy wanted to ban it.  It was not approved, nor implemented.   So far they have only added regulations that people can no longer trade anonymously.   So what?   Didn't Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex etc. US-based platforms all require our IDs and photos?  

India also did not ban crypto.  Just a minister made some unfriendly speech toward crypto.  No real "ban" whatsoever.  

From the look of it, someone or some groups are trying hard to make the prices go down.   The sad thing is, people are falling for it.   The same China "news" was used on 5 occasions to cause the market crash while nothing was really changed or happened.   Korean news was used on at least 2 occasions.    

The bottom line is, let's just ignore all the stupid "news".   Use our brains.   Not hearsay from yellow journalism.   It is getting annoying to have every little "news" to impact the market price.  

You are definitely right. Bitcoin users must not listen to false news, if they read a news, they must be responsible in searching if this news are true or not. Likewise, if you are one of the bitcoin user, we must stop spreading false news also so that we can maintain the good reputation of bitcoin.

Thanks OP to enlighten those people who are continuing spreading a fake news regarding banning bitcoin in china, even though he/she is a newbie he act like a old member in crypto. Bitcoin holders just like me did not affect even what is that fake news are i always believed on bitcoin that i choose to pick and hold this for a long term. Obviously we will agree that we should not listen or avoid fake news but it is easier said than done.
People will create FUD to get their intentions done, probably to buy more Bitcoin when there is a price dip. Some people are so lazy to do research to check on what they heard or read is actually true. Other people are too lazy to read the whole article some will just read the title and assume that the title itself is the news, Which in some cases the title is just a click bait but the news itself has nothing to do with the article. Worst part about it is once you have read it and not verifying if it is true is you will also tell it to your peers or here in the forum until that fake news spread.

You can't control people to do what you want, or what you feel is correct. This is a normal human behavior because nothing is definite and it is all about taking the decision at that right moment. Wise people with a sharp insight into the future know that bad news will cause a huge number of scaredy users to dump, because these wise people know that the public will be affected by the ban and want to cash out before they lose both their cash and bitcoins.

What about false news? Some people with sinister intent use the media to spread a lie and in this day and age, it spreads like a plague causing fear into the public, rushing to sell before it is too late before verifying the source of the lie.

I noticed that false news doesn't affect the price a lot and it recovers fast, however, actual news about governments banning cryptos and hacks cause a huge drop in price.

What are you trying to impose is the big whales which I think controlling the price value of btc. It's a game wherein in it depends who will fall for it. yes actually that is true. The fake news are all over., and as i think that is why we are experiencing low value  of  current bitcoin price today because of those fake news, it compels  people to make their panic selling which is not helping bitcoin and for most of us. I think not only  for btc but also for other currencies, people have to be aware af the real current situation in the market. Yes I do agree many times fake news spread by some guys. In my opinion some big players wants to buy bitcoin at lesser value so they keep spreading negativity and fake news.  If you trust the tech then you don't need to worry about the price cause in the end you will win anyway.

It is nonsense.  Sometimes i don't  want  to read those news because  sometimes i can't  control  my decision making when i get panic because of the market value. Those fake news is a great impact in the market.

This advise applies not only in the cryptocurrency market, but in all other sections of the news. People shouldn’t believe everything they read in both mainstream and social media. Learn to fact check or confirm in other media outlets before sharing the good or bad news.

not just miss leading, but we are going to be panic because the news from social media is not 100% correct and we don't have to trust what they're saying. we need to search another news from a different site so we can have another point of view from other people and we can make our decision and we don't need to be panic if there is a bad thing that happens. stay calm and still searching another news that is the best thing that we can do even if the situation becomes the worst.
