USER PROFILE : Chachacoin17, chickenado, thend1949, marcuslong
MERIT SUMMARY : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1002351
PROOF:
Well  I agree on that bit I think we really count a year or maybe a decade before it will going to happen because crypto is not as just popular as fiat.  It's already there before bitcoin exist and we all know that many more people using fiat than bitcoin. So then even if the bitcoin is getting more popular i believe that fiat is really the most common in terms of usage .
Well i think if we are following bitcoin for a long time maybe we  really didnt think that this is the panic time because we all known from the start that bitcoin is unstable and it os really almost changing price every single our of the day and if bitcoin pricw fall maybe we dont have to panic on it because  i believe that falling of price is a big opportunity to gain huge  amount through buy and selling process.
Well, I wil choose both, to invest and to save. I will take risk to invest some of my money and I will save some of it. I will invest my money right now too because of its price going down because I know someday I will receive profit for holding my bitcoins. I will save it too for my future.
Well, it may depend on how every individual think about future but those things you've mentioned is with regards to gadgets. But the main idea here is all about the perceptions about how a person view bitcoin as their future, particularly the investors who remained brave on their stand against bitcoin. For now it seems that more people holds and trust bitcoin and I think those bigger whales stayed calm rather than those new investors. They maintained that progressive visions even though more people panicked of the latest dips of bitcoin.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

MISCELLANEOUS: User exchanging merits among many alts on a Deep Onion ANN thread and others. This is a whole pool of users exchanging merits and all involved in the same promotion. Farming funded suspicions. Merit exchange evidence.

Full suspected farm profiles:

Most likely many more users involved. Just pull the thread a bit as surely much more can be found.

Is there any place where I can find and objective definition of what constitutes an abuse of the system?

a) Meriting "too much"?
b) Mutually sending merit?
c) Sending merit to accounts that seem to be linked by exchange of tokens?
d) Meriting to ANN threads?
e) Which other cases?

Who is going to decide if the abuse is considered as such? That is, is there a "jury" and an "appeals process"?

Please point me to any link or resource if there is any.

Why are posting this same thing here again. You already created a thread with same content here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2909419.0

Is there any place where I can find and objective definition of what constitutes an abuse of the system?

a) Meriting "too much"?
b) Mutually sending merit among users or groups of users?
c) Sending merit to accounts that seem to be linked by exchange of tokens?
d) Meriting to ANN threads?
e) Which other cases?

Who is going to decide if the abuse is considered as such? That is, is there a "jury" and an "appeals process"?

Please point me to any link or resource if there is any. I do know that merit should be sent to post that are "of quality", but I am asking for something specific.

Because after writing it, I though that it deserved its own thread.

Not sure if they've given each other enough merits to call it "abusing", but yea.  The merited posts that they both gave each other are not even close from being merit-worthy.

Confirmed Alt accounts of 1 person and abusing merit system. I can't just figure out what those mods are doing out there without banning these accounts. 45 merits for each fucking shitpost is literally making me to report here. If any higher members are reading this,  kindly give them red trust and kick them out of the signature campaign.

This have some point, merit system is a good way to reward a meaningful post, yet it is still not the perfect solution(don't know either if there would necessary for abuser would always find new ways to continue with business) because not all meaningful and helpful post has the chance to be noticed and merited though. I bet of all user here in this forum only 5-10% is reading a thread from start to last reply before posting their own thoughts.

Because this is not the right thread to post that. Please post in threads according to the query asked. You can start a new thread if you have a query not asked here before.

I bet of all user here in this forum only 5-10% is reading a thread from start to last reply before posting their own thoughts.
Both of you idiots,if you really think that your post is "unmerited",then ask for  a review here:- Merit System Upgrade and sMerit Post-Review. People do talk about it but instead of whining they chose to have patience. Also that post wasn't merit-worthy IMO. But anyhow, take that merit as an inspiration and contribute much to the forum, then tell me that you're not receiving merits. And yeah this is again going off-topic.

Is someone taking any measures agains the suspects we are listing here?

I see that Chetty still has 50 merits from soniclord for "Yes, yesterday he wrote that he had left 9% of his coin" (google translate)

This post also got 20 merits for an ANN

They have given merits to same members. Like check merits given on this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2932126.msg30324092#msg30324092

Lots of accounts may be involved.

By going through some of these accounts you can start to see a pattern. I've just taken a glimpse at this guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=552858
And you can see that he's taken a liking to this account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1159197

Today at 01:50:53 PM: 5 from chineseprancing for Re: China calling for a wider ban on Crypto currency trading ?
February 05, 2018, 12:36:44 PM: 5 from chineseprancing for Re: Merit & new rank requirements

It may seem like a casual 5 points here and 5 points there, but note that chineseprancing has been awarding merits only twice in his account history. He logged in on the 5th and first merit he awarded was 5 to dhas, then he went offline and came back 10 days later to again give 5 merit to dhas. Sure, we can say that this was a completely random act, and I'm not going to condemn anyone but sometimes it's obvious when people are trying to feed other accounts with merit either because those are their friends or their alts.
