For those who are planning to invest in the project, be sure to read the Whitepaper. For participants of bounty media companies reading is also necessary, because without reading it is impossible to write a quality article.

I always read the white paper of any coin which I am interested in buying or the ICO because after reading the whitepaper we get all the information about the Coin/ICO and it helps to choose the coin.

I do read white papers, I think before getting into a project you need to know how it's going to end, the investors, the benefits you stand to gain being a part of the project, why the project is better than every other projects you have been a part of and why you should put a higher energy participating in it. White papers are great information documents: go through them, because you get more informed else you'll be deformed.

I simply read what the coin is all about. If the idea seems promising (rare), I would read the whole thing. If not, I skip the whole coin all together. Most time you don't have to open the whitepaper for this, just read a description of the coin on the ANN.

whitepaper is my biggest analysis after seeing the conjunction of the website of each project, if indeed they have a strong proposal and supported by investor / community activeness, then I will invest in it, there are many things that are very important, but whitepaper is the first of all the power of existing projects.

Of course, when one is interested in a coin one reads the whole whitepaper. But what I'm saying is that one can avoid wasting time in reading whitepapers for some coins that doesn't vibe with one, by simply seeing what it's all about in the coin's discription.

Like if in the description of a coin you read that the coin is for say babysitting. To use the blockchain to pay your babysitter, and you feel that such a concept has absolutely no future, then you skip reading that whitepaper and move on to the next coin on your list.

If you plan to invest, reading the whitepaper is a must! Be a smart investor, know the information instead of investing because you see other people invest. If you do bounty, do not necessarily read

Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.
yes of course, I always read whitepaper when going to invest in an ICO project.
Whitepaper is the center of information in a project, so to know whether or not a project can be seen from a whitepaper.
I did not find a quick way to read a whitepaper. Grin

there are two cases when you need to read white paper.
1. it's when you're planning to invest.
2. when you plan on working for bounty.
in both cases, you need to know all the details of the project, so as not to lose your time and money.

It's a very good information giving document, I think anyone that want to know what a particular project holds before going into participation should go through the white paper.

It would be better if you checked the white paper. After all, losing time with participation in a bad project is also offensive.

in my opinion reading whitepaper is a must, however after I look at website's "quality" Then skim around for layout review, just to make sure it's worth my reading time Then I start to get insight about campany's idea in big picture If all OK then start reading

If I need to be perfectly honest guys. I do not really read whitepapers that much because really some of it are too long to be even concentrated reading at. So I would sometimes go to their telegram group or bitcointalk threads to get more information about their ico or company.

If the whitepaper has 90+ pages, and written in high-tech, blockchain language very unlikely i will read it to the end.
Nowadays many project notice that problem, and came up with OnePager - light version of whitepaper, where you can find all the main aspects of the project.
Light paper is very easy to understand, because it's written in more user friendly language, and only takes 10-15 minutes of our time at most.

Of course, if it is an ico project that I intend to invest in, I will even research it word-by-word to see if it is worth my investment. I think we can find a lot of valuable information from the white paper.

Sure, white papers tell a lot about the company. Of course they are not the most exciting things to read but you invest your money. Have patience and read it.
