It can't, only post count can go up fast.  Activity is fixed.  You can post 1 time or 10000 times, Activity will always only increase by 14.

You are also correct that my account does not "prove" it and that the only proof I have is that I'm saying my activity was at about 12 and now it's 98, and it all happened in the last week.  I am guaranteeing this.  I just signed up, as soon as I hit member standing, for the Updown sig campaign.  Ther eis proof of that.  And at the time, I had only 61 posts and 61 activity, and that was yesterday I believe.  I have been around for a long time but this is an alt account.  You seem to be getting so upset yet you are the one not understanding activity.  You should go to the Meta thread and re-read how activity is calculated.  

It makes perfect sense: you can get max 14 activity for every 2 week period you have made at least 1 post, but the max activity you can have is limited by your total post count.  This explains why I have posted in 8 "2-week periods" and I was able to increase my activity by 86 in 1 week.  My max activity was apparently 98 but I hadn't made 98 posts, so it went up every half hour by the number of posts I made.  That is explained in the Meta thread as well I believe.

How is activity calculated?

Here it comes: Activity is minimum number between your post number and the number of two weeks period since you've joined multiplied by 14.

Examples:

1. You are member for 12 weeks and you have 145 posts. Your activity is then 84 because that is (12/2)wp*14 and it is lower then your post number.

2. You are member for 58 weeks and you have 347 posts. Your activity is then 347 because it is lower then (58/2)wp*14=406.

3. You are member for 43 weeks and you have 658 posts. Your activity is then 294 because that is (43/2)wp*14 and it is lower then your post number.

wp=2 weeks period

That's it! I hope it is clear now!

Yes, it is true I went from 61 to 98 in a day or 2.  You see, 98 activity was my max activity (until the next 2 week period comes and goes) but I needed to make a minimum of 98 posts to have 98 activity.  So as I kept posting over the last couple days, my activity has gone up.  Now I've reached 98 activity and even though I have made more than 98 posts, the activity won't go up until the next 2 week period ends.  Then it can go up to 112, as long as I've made 112 posts.
