too difficult in choosing a good coin or token. but my friend always chooses coins or tokens that have fluctuations or rapid up and down movements, with high price and low price having large interval spacing. (Its rekomended for trading I think).

Lots of coins are coming in every month. But I can't know which coin will good in future,  Always I face problem with my confusion. So, is there anyway to know which coins are good?

Thank You

It's quite normal to feel that way, especially if you're new in the market. There are so many coins coming up everyday that it's so hard to discern which one would actually have the chance to prosper and go all the way up. However, just for the safety of your investment, I think it would be better to invest a big chunk of it with those established coins that have gained good value over the years and have many followings from users around the world. As for the new coins, check what technology they are backing or what product they are coming from, check also the developers and their goals on how they plan to promote the coin, also check the acceptance of people plus the market cap. If many of those mentioned factors show a positive review, then it can be a good indicator that the coin may be a good one.

What you need to see is whether the coin has many communities, because if they have many communities indirectly they will help to grow the coin. A good and competent developer team. Look at each of their social media, whether they always provide the latest updates of every development project they do.

- Read the prospects through their whitepaper
- Understand the technology
- Know the team behind the project, are they real? professional? and serious in developing?
- Only invest in what you can afford to lose

anyway, this thread should be on discussion board, here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0
this section is for altcoin announcements. just move this!

The quality of a good coin is almost directly correlated to the strength of the team (integrity, skills, communications, effort etc) as well as the community behind the coin. The use-case scenario may not be as strong a factor that determines the price as the above started. To know a good coin, check out the team behind it and what they are upto.

The only way to find a good project is to have good detective skills and look for information on the developers, on their finished product and, if possible, seek out the way to communicate with the developers. In fact, now there is too much of a scam around and finding a good project is more difficult every day.

You can learn about this coin through the personnel of their project team and the white paper, and then depending on your judgment there is no prospect for development of this coin and then consider whether or not to invest it.

to find promising projects, you need to look at the key idea of the project and what goals it sets for itself. the uniqueness of the idea is the key to success. next step - look at the white paper, the project team, the road map and social media. it is also important to check the rating of the project on different sites (for example ICOExpert, trackICO)

Here are some questions you to find the good cryptocurrency:
1. Is there a real world problem that the company is trying to solve?
2. Are the milestones listed on their roadmap realistic, and will they be newsworthy?
3. Based on their past experience, do the team demonstrate the ability to achieve their roadmap?
4. Is this company the one most likely, amongst its competitors, to succeed at creating a blockchain solution for the problem they’ve identified?
5. Does the company have any pre-existing businesses, apps or products that you can review and, if so, are they any good?
6. Is the currency undervalued? Is the market cap low? Is there room to grow?
7. Are you satisfied that there are no foreseeable changes to society or technology that will alter the need for the company’s proposed solution?
8. Do you believe this project will still exist in 5 years time?

You need to do your research before investing. If you don’t, you are basically throwing your hard earned dollars into something that you do not understand. Also, if you fully understand a coin, it is going to make you much more confident when you actually buy the coin. Confidence and knowledge are vital when investing.

I think you can read on the technology that they working on and read their white paper through thorough research, and who the team is behind the coin. You need to observed the fluctuation of coins, that's the best thing you can do to identify whose altcoins are good to buy and to hold. If for investment you should look carefully at it.

By reviewing the whitepaper in order to get ideas about the project and how much is it based on the technology of blockchain. Check if the developers already have successful projects. A road map is mandatory. And I observe how quickly the pre-sale and token sale passed. Then checking the activity in social networks to see if the team are active. Considering a reputed bounty manager of the project is a plus.

Btc eos qtum xrp eth these are good. Btc and eth temporarily sit in the first two chairs, or there are two brushes eos as a rising star, a few days ago broke the eos team raised 600,000 eth news, is trying to do things in place. The xrp plate is large, marketing is not as good as eos, and xrp is courteous to the star xlm. Qtum is tepid, followed by the boss, only a dozen days ago on the currency sudt traded right, up has been wave. In general, all can be entered.

Read Whitepaper (escpecially technical WP) accurately. Explore project`s team (in LinkedIn for example). See project`s targets and presence of alpha version.
