I want to ask about merit, when I make a post and someone gives a merit in the post I created and after that I delete the post I created, then whether the given merit is still there and recorded in my profile or lost with the post I deleted?

Remember that Bitcoin is still beta software. Don't put all of your money into BTC!

Ive seen another member merit history and when i want to click the topic where he gave merit it say deleted/ignored/offlimit. and he still have the merit, so im sure even if the thread has been deleted the given merit will not lose

Merits is for Quality post and should be constructive, No shit posting! If members of bitcointalk forum will give you merits then you should be happy because someone appreciated your post.

Yeah exactly, but if he make really good post and got deleted cause original poster delete it ? I mean he make comment on someone else post from that comment he got merit from some one else, but the OP delete the post for some reason.

Merit is something that you can get only if your post was appreciated by other members of the bitcointalk forum. You should be grateful if somebody merited you because that means your post is significant. As for your post that was deleted but merited by someone else, it would not be lost rather it is still yours.
It is a lesson for us actually that in this forum, there must be no shit posters as it will reflect also in your profile.

This question is less constructive,
The goal of this question has been answered,
We recommend that you just lock this thread,
This is intended to not be used by Activity Hunter.

You know i guess the merit is made in porpuse because of a lot of multiple accounts are fine in market so i guess this is made to control the accounts already you could ranked up from newbie if you will not get a merit and obviously they can detect where you give the merit and monitor and i guess this is a good thing in the forum to control the post in the market.

It is really the best practice to have where the quality will now matter over the other things. In order to rank up it will be a combination of merit + activity and thus not everyone could easily move up in this ranking system. It will take some time for everyone which will depend upon the quality of the post as well.
