If you have to choose only one, then Ethereum will be, in my opinion, the best choice... great development, huge community, 95% of ICO are based on ETH blockchain.....

I would recommend, never to choose just one. Ethereum is great long term holding option, but I would add NEO and of course Bitcoin. This three are the most solid coins and I think the best bet.

Ripple and NEO is still the best choice for now if want to do a long-term investment.
Because these 2 coins's price are very stable and look very promising in the future,

I think there are many quinns that are long term. Such as (Ripple, NEO,Waves,IOTA)

Long term investment is good choice and I can suggest you to buy bitcoin, eth and ltc. Bitcoin still become primary income for traders and investor, you can check it from market history. Eth always follow bitcoin but for this one you should wait until March, because this time the volume & price is stable ( not good for trade/ invest. About ltc, you can buy it any time you want. This coin has slow moving but sure, replace your money at least 10% - 20% from your main balance. Good luck with you.

How long term are you planning to invest? Years or just a few months? Anyway, for that I would suggest Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other high-valued coins of similar footing. They are good for long term investments because you can haul big profit from them once they surge in value. Take Bitcoin for example, it can go by for months without any increase, with even a few dumps here and there, but once it catches fire and starts to surge, you can see a significant increase in value that would give you big profit. Like what happened recently, it plunged to a meager 6.2k dollars, only to rise up to 10.6k dollars again.
