Is this project different from DATUM .. I see the similarities
Hi Jonnytracker, Datum is just simple data exchanges, so their "product" is raw data as it is collected. Biotron.io is an analytics company, so we're providing analytics products (location intelligence in the first phase). The key difference is that raw data has much lower value than analytics, so we're able to provide much higher returns to users as well.

Quite an interesting project! Yes, it somehow reminds Datum, but in Datum the goal is to monetize your data, but in Biotron their analysis, safety and stability, if I'm not mistaken Hi Mike, yes you are right. Datum is just simple data exchanges, so their "product" is raw data as it is collected. Biotron is an analytics org, so we're providing analytics products (location intelligence in the first phase). The key difference is that raw data has much lower value than analytics, so we're able to provide much higher returns to users as well.

How will they get payed and how will you decide how much users get paid? Need definitely to look into more infos, because it sounds really interesting.

Bitcoin Garden: BIOTRON.IO announced Initial Token Event (ITE) https://bitcoingarden.org/biotron-io-announced-initial-token-event-ite/Biotron.io has announced the launch of its public Initial Token Event (ITE) which will take place from the 20th of March 2018 (15:00 UTC) until the 29th of March 2018 (15:00 UTC) in order to fund Biotron.io. The distribution of the tokens will commence on the 2nd of April.
To realise its vision, Biotron.io is launching its own utility token – BTRN. The token facilitates the trade of data and payments between providers and customers. It is the only option for payments to access Biotron.io’s data analyses and to compensate data providers.
During the ITE, BTRN are created as ERC-20 cryptographic tokens on the Ethereum (ETH) protocol. After the ITE and once the Biotron Blockchain is launched, the ERC-20 based BTRN will be replaced by the final proprietary BTRN.
The public ITE will last 9 days, with each day representing one round. The round one value of 1 BTRN will be 0.10€ with an increase of 0.01€ per round. The final round value will be 0.18€ per 1 BTRN. The ETH-EUR exchange rate used for each round will be announced daily according to the Euro exchange rate. It will be calculated as 1-day (24h) moving average of the day before the round starts. The source of the exchange rate and its calculation will be announced in advance of the ITE....

So did I got it right, you allow user to store data on your blockchain to sell it, a bit like Datum?
Hi Crazyfrog01, no, we do not store personal data on blockchain.

it's not really like datum, it says you can also use the information you "share" in the system for some kind of authentication purposes

Indeed an interesting project. I have a bit of a problem to put the numbers together. Maybe you can help me.
You got €400k in seed funding. Was this in exchange for equity or for tokens?
And could you explain "user acquisitions" a bit more, please?

Hi guys! Read through the concept thoroughly. And am trying to wrap my head around the use of blockchain tech for data-analytics. Is this something that could be done without it. Will using blockchain markedly improve what is already an established business?

Interesting project from what I can see. It seems that the project will allow users to share their personal data in return for monetary rewards. There is more than one other competitor that I can think of, so I will be interested in learning more about it and its unique aspects.

Biotron.io's first customers for its personal data analytics platform will be in Western Europe and the US, they'll be delivering location intelligence products in the first phase.

Just came across this ANN. The project looks interesting. One question that came up from reading your opening post:
Accepted currencies: ETH, ETC, BTC, BCH, BTG, DCT, LTC, XMR, DASH, all ERC 20 tokens
What do you mean exactly by accepting all ERC 20 tokens at your initial token event? I mean there must be thousands of different ERC 20 tokens, most of them completely worthless.
I hope they have a relook at the 'all ERC20 tokens' and come up with a list because it would encourage a lot of shitcoin owners to pump their coin to wash it with tokens from this project. While I understand the spirit of inclusiveness in the ethereum and more or less, the blockchain community, the alley is riddled with a lot of dead fishes.

Maybe the'll take average prices from different exchanges so that PnD groups can't pump it all at the same time.

This is the first time I see a project accepting all erc20 tokens. This looks weird for me and I wonder how the team will handle it when comes to the token sale phase.
