It will be different from one coin to another, because there is a coin that good for day trade and the others are good for long term hold. You need to know about the coins it self.

Both ! Daytrading dont make long term holding impossible, somedays for few coins because of the volatility you can do quick profit but for most of the crypto if you want to have more money you ave to be patient so in my opionion both trading style are usefull for grow your capital, you don't have to choose.
But daytrading can be hard sometimes dont trade every single days because you are bored, trade only if you see a good opportunity Smiley

If I am private, I invest in a certain initial coin offer, I will give some goals that I want to sell part of my investment and I patiently wait. And also need more time and knowledge about the techniques and ideas of each altcoin, You also have to take action and know when they will have a good show and news.

I prefer long-term cryptocurrencies. It is necessary to trade in the short term only with a large amount of funds. Because otherwise you risk just getting very little profit.

It is better to start with long-term investments.  And when you form a portfolio of coins, you can do trading.  For beginners trading probably will be hard, because there is need a lot to learn.  And it is more profitable to combine long-term investment with trading

Only when you have the ability to trade professionally, if you are a professional trader, you can easily make a lot of money.
In general, the Ethereum and Ltc are selected for the liquid and versatile COINS. You can simply hold and earn more COINS each day by trading.

I prefer to hold long-term on stable ones where prices don't swing, and short-term on less stable ones.

I prefer to invest in the short term, but not all COINS are worth holding, but I did study the COINS in my portfolio to decide whether to hold or trade.
I think I am a person with enough patience and good attitude. So I think both long-term and short-term investments are fine.

I prefer to hold it for a long time, because I am more suitable for long-term investment. The current currency that is suitable for long-term investment is, I think, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I prefer long-term retention. I invested in Ethereum and I hope in two years it will increase in price several times

So I'm slowly going into crypto and I want to know if any of you trade altcoins daily, or you prefer to hold it for long term? What do you think it's better and why?

Thanks
I prefer to invest on a long-term investment rather than on a day trade. Why, you ask? Because day trading hurts the value of the altcoin you invested on. Moreover, you could gain more profit in a long-term investment rather than a short-term one. And lastly, it would be a waste if you would miss a price increase when you stopped investing right? So I encourage everyone to long-term invest on the coins they bought.

I am holding both two kind of these portfolio and I think it is the best. I can classify all my favourite coins into two group which is suitable for each time cycle that would give me the best profit.

As for me I'm not an expert enough to do daytrading.
I actually don't consider it a good idea, I'm an ex gambler and I probably would lose it all if I started to trade regularly.
Patience is key anyways.

Daily trading is very complicated and tedious. You must follow it all the time and always have to contemplate. This is also very risky at the same time. For this reason, I prefer long-term retention.

It will depend on you if you'd want to become a day trader or a long term holder. Most of the profits are placed into long term holding since you need to trust the power or the potential of the coin .I prefer to trade 30/70, because the market has high volatility, it can rise and fall in just a few hours and leave 30% the coins for the future.
