I generally prefer to hold my coins in long term because I am too lazy for day trading.

So I'm slowly going into crypto and I want to know if any of you trade altcoins daily, or you prefer to hold it for long term? What do you think it's better and why?

Thanks
i do both. but the percentage of long is higher than my day trading because it is less risky and it is more easier to control the emotional aspect.
i believe that holding long for a good project coin is better than day trading.

I wish I had the time to do day-trading because it might be very profitable but since I have only few hours a day, I just have a long term approach for now...

Long term is always better when you have a good entry. Long term return of investment is always higher than that of short term. But they're coins which you can make good and quick profit from on a day trading or swing trading. Just study the chart before making any move as to long term holdl or short term trade.

it depends on the coin you are holding, look at whitepaper of that coin if the project seems good then it is better to hold. But if the projects do not seem profitable then just sell it off. As personal advice long-term holding is more profitable unless you are experienced in day trading and have enough time to keep your eyes on the news. HODL and patience is a key to success in the crypto market.

Like most people I tried day trading and just ended up losing money  Grin

So now i just hodl

Earlier last year, I was heavily involved with trading. But after leaving out money on the table on the quest for quick bucks (day trading). I learnt its better to get the full detail rather than settling for 20% increase all the time. That's how I joined the hodl gang. I'm holding tokens that incentivizes hodling with airdrops.

HODL is so much easier for the inexperienced trader like me. I tried multiple times to do the daytrading thing, where I'm just trying to accumulate more coins. It's alot harder than it looks, and you have to be very disciplined to pull it off. Good luck if you wanna try, but HODLing for long term is much safer.

Definitely hold long term as this is the only way for us to gain maximum profit. Though we can still actually earn from day trading, but at what rate? Selling off at a small increase wouldn’t have much bearing as profit. This is when prices starts hiking, and day traders starts crying telling people how stupid they are for selling too early! Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!!! Wake up people and learn!

If you don't trade you lose on daily market profit opportunity. If you don't hold you lose on profit that can have a significant impact on your future finance. As a crypto enthusiast, you must find a balance between these two activities.

This is true only if you are good in day trading and keep money in the exchanges. A lot of people don't have the skill set required for day trading or they lack the time needed. And day trading can be very costly.

I believe that if you have the time, yours is short-term, you can make investments and you go out of them once they make good profits, and others that you can sell as soon as you see that they are going to have a great fall, instead if you are a busy person, the best thing is long-term hold, you buy and you forget about them, and without any doubt without good projects, in the long term you will see excellent results

High profit and for holding it is for self purpose.but if i prefer about these too then i choose trqding because it i don't feel like an holdin for any reason. I just want to earn and earn until have a big savings and make business

I prefer to invest long-term, because I think it's good and do not need to be too panicky for unstable prices. I believe the crypto coins will continue to rise, and I will benefit from the investment.
Yeah true, because for users who use long-term investments, they will not pay much attention to the current price fluctuations, because what they see is the price of the next few years, and that's definitely higher than right now, even my friend, hold their bitcoin from early 2017 and leave it? he don't know if bitcoin price has already reached $19k and is currently he rarely sees the market, of course he never panics about it, he said he would sell it in 2020.
I think if you already have a steady income is not a problem to hold bitcoin for the long term

Longterm is more suitable for me in trading. Be calmer and less rushed, not feel worried when value decreases up to 15%. And of course, profits that i can achieve even optimal.

I stop trading as it consumes a lot of my time, what I do now is hold and wait until the price is profitable then I will sell it.

As the trader depends on the analysis I made from the information I got and depending on the crypto itself, there are some crypto that may not be suitable to hold for long-term. I prefer in both and for daily trade I avoid the risk by selling when there is a small increase.
