I would very much like this project to be successful. This will create additional competition in the next-level blockchain revolution.
And I want to say that the issue of transaction speed is important, but it's not the main thing, after all. If you read the last article in the Medium about the release of the EOS Dawn 3.0, you probably will understand what I'm talking about.
The next level blockchain is not just a faster blockchain the already existing one.
In my opinion, so far the EOS team has advanced the most in this direction.

For this project i'm waiting for some evidence/proof that all the features advertised can be actually implemented, till then i remain quite skeptical. Being a visionary won't help you achieve results if you don't have smart people working on technical problems.

Who is/are the person/s in the team that are working on solving these challenges?

What kind of project are you asking about? Excuse me, but perhaps a double interpretation of your question - about EOSIO or about MTV?
About EOSIO I know and understand much more and the name of Dan Larimer does not need recommendations. If you still asked about MTV, then you ask it wrong, it's right to ask the MTVteam members.

I not agree with you.
You are asking for something who will be delivered in months since now.
I repeat. The alfa app is just to check UI and usability on test net.
Until they do not release the major version, i think is impossible to test the 64k tps or the 0,2 sec transaction speed!
The roadmap tell us who all functions wiil be not delivered in one shot.

I think EOS will show us something new and maybe even scaleable. They already do their product a long time and keep us on touch. Larimer is a well-known person in crypto world and already did 2 huge and successful projects.
But if the Bitcoin is blockchain 1.0 Ethereum - 2.0, EOS - mb 3.0, but it is not ready yet, so i don't know how it is possible to make 4.0 
As far i understood Multiversum has it's own approach to data organization, but it is only on paper now and blockchain 4.0 is only nice word for attract people.
But if they will release their really unique code i will change my mind, and not earlier.
