If you find a Project or ICO that looks scammy, what steps do you take to warn the community? Do you just ignore and go on to the next one?

If i find ICO that looks scammy, i inform all my friends about it, i write about this in Telegram groups, and also on the forum. I don't like when deceived people, so i'm making maximum effort to warn colleagues of the danger.

Never give up

If I notice a fraudulent ICO, I usually report it to acquaintances and my followers on the blog.

First make sure that you do a very deep research about the ico, you do not want to be wrong and then not only you lose credibility but you will affect an honest project, but if you have your doubts about a project there is nothing wrong with raising questions about it this is a forum and that is why we are here, so as long as your questioning is valid there is nothing wrong with exposing possible scams.

Actually you could report it here just make sure about your claims and really research if it is really a scam. You can  post about it here making all the people in the community aware of it. Keep the threat alive  by checking on it and replying on the inquiries posted as replies.

It would be best if someone created a website where we could log in and report with proof and have admins verify the proof and then start a database.
We need to protect one another. I have been scammed you have been scammed we all have. Let us try protect newcomers from these thieves.

Ignoring it wouldnt help anyone, but spreading the word on every relevant threads would be the best thing to do so people would be warned from these schemes/scams.Because nowaways people always find their ways to take advantage other's weaknesses, you can report these scammers to moderators,or if you find a project that is a scam post it in a relevant thread so you could help other's from not getting involve with these schemes.

Well this is one of our main problems as a community. We lack unity when it comes to standing against scams and frauds. Everybody is so focused on his own interest and benefits so they don't care anyone else. Personally i try to report every scam i face to lower their numbers. Because crypto is built to solve the problems of real world frauds not to joing them.

Very often, when it becomes clear that the scammers of the project - learn all at once)
But, of course, I distribute this information, suddenly someone else does not know.

There is big difference between 2 things .
1- Have a suspicion about project that it might be scum , then you have to just stay away and warn your friends , because you really can not go around call someone or project a scum based on just suspicion.

2- Know that this project is a scum and have a proof  to back your say , now you have to open a thread and warn the whole community about this scum , and I believe that anyone get scummed because you didn't report such a project while you  could ,  is really not a good thing . Turning your eyes away from a crime while you can stop it ( make you part of it ) .

If you have intuition that that is a scam, ask first until you're sure.
If you knew that that is a scam, always tell others so that less people will be a victim of that.
Just be aware of scammers and it is good to share what you know to others.
Spread the word if you know of a scammer

It actually came to my conscience and consciousness that I should be doing that so as to play my own part to help gullible members here because if mode take the report, they would handle it and by that, avoiding harm to members.

First of all, I am trying to ask everything in telegr am, bitcointalk. If they answer and post normal answers, I can analyze a bit more and decide scam it or no. But, anywayy, you should post proofs, so everybody can see it! Bitcointalk, twitter, telegram, etc.

How can we be sure of whats a scam to report?
What makes it suspect?  Huh
If you see the person who developed the coin and you saw the scam happening then it would be very different.

Better tell another person about that project so you and your friend not got scammed. Also post about that project in forum like bitcointalk or redit or any other crypto related forum. Make sure you have enough evidence to tell that project really scam not just some accusation with out proof

I think that you have hit the right spot. The community is tired of the FOMO and the FUD as well, so providing evidence is the key. Given that it is not very common to find it, I think that either people don´t research or that they don´t share the results. Posting this question is trying to create some awareness in the community.

I do report scams, I think that it is one of the most healthy ways to keep the bitcointalk environment safe and clean. It doesn’t really matter whether the admins or moderators will hear me out, the important thing here is I dod my part as one of the regular users or member here in the bitcointalk community.

I never report a scam ICO because there is no proper authority to report it but i usually tell my friends to avoid it. Besides even if you  report it, they will just create a new one and it is the responsibility of every investors to make their own research before investing in any ICO.

Yes and by doing this we can prevent others to get scammed as well. In this community that everything is uncertain and even though we smell something fishy yet we don't have any evidence to accuse someone or ico as scammers because in the end they might be the one pointing fingers to you. Likewise, prevention is always better than cure.
