If you are happy with slow growth then yes, it is a very safe investment and will rise this year. However, do not expect massive growth as it has already been to the moon. You should invest in cheaper coins that will reach the same price as ethereum. Take a look at LISK and NEO, both of which are competitors to ethereum and will rise rapidly this year. LISK is cheaper, but NEO is already ready with ICOs - both are better investments for 2018

Ethereum is less volatile than other cryptocurrencies. A lot of ICO projects create ERC20 tokens and use ETH blockchain for smart-contracts. While the situation will be the same, price will keep stable. But when some another blockchain networks will be using for ICO, ETH price can quickly drop!

it is always a good time to invest in ethereum especially if the price is down too deep and we can buy much of ethereum. many of us still buy ethereum even if the price increases because they know that the ethereum could increase too like bitcoin and it will give a big profit to them. so it is better if we can use this time to buy more ethereum.

Ethereum will be more massive in the future,it is the most commonly used platform for the new altcoin projects,these developers are using erc20 tokens for their new project so yes it is still a good time to invest in ethereum,i am holding ethereum for more years because i am one of those lucky people who bought it when it was less than a dollar,now it gave me millions of dollars from only a couple of thousand investments 2years ago.

Ethereum prices continue to increase along with increasing investor demand for this one crypto currency.
but as far as I know the price of ethereum is very stable meaning if the price increase is not too significant different from bitcoin.
if you want to play long maybe ethereum is the right thing to invest.

I think ETH will definitely be a good long term investment. I don't think we will see ether drop below 500$ usd anymore personally. I do hold some amounts of ether, and with the price fluctuations I think it's worth holding. It's just going to increase from here.

There is a whole ecosystem built with ether, and it's only growing by the day. There will ALWAYS be a need for it, that's why the price will only continue to go up.

Then again, imagine if 1/3 or more of eths market cap went into etc? hmm.

Yes ! It is good to invest in ethereum because it is one of the altcoins that has so good price and value. There are also too many people that invest in ethereum because it is a long term trading altcoin.
