Is Gochain just another blockchain on top of the Ethereum blockchain and can be used for all kinds of different purposes or is there a specific use case for Gochain?

Hi, mt55. GoChain is only based on Ethereum technology. However, GoChain is being built to solve fundamental issues that plague existing cryptocurrencies. Wait, I think I know what my misunderstanding is about. You are not building your system on top of the Ethereum blockchain, but instead you use the technology (i.e. fork it) and add to it what you think will improve it right?

Hi, mt55. Thank you for your interest.
GoChain is built based on Ethereum blockchain technology. However, GoChain is trying to improve the blockchain itself by solving 3 main problems. By replacing PoW, we drastically reduce energy consumption because there is no mining, at least 1000x. By using PoR, we enforce decentralization to 10x more than today’s reality. And without PoW and a fixed set of PoR nodes, we will increase performance by 100x.
GoChain is also compatible with Ethereum, so DApp and smart contract developers can lift and shift from Ethereum to GoChain for 100x increased performance.
