Invest in ICO or buy BTC?

Yeah IEO is the best but only IEO project on big exchange can make profit. For me invest in BTC is the best options for this time because low risk and profitable for longterm invest.

First you need to make sure choose the best platform to invest and beware of any kind of scam project that may cause you a lot loss of money if you invested in ICO you should choose the top rated ICO project that may helped you to overcome risk & i think investing in BTC you would get profit  but you need to wait till for a long time to get profit.

Agree, major exchange systems have put in place more rules to restrict investors from buying tokens, and with such vigilance, I don't think ieo will be a good idea yet, and the IEO's weakening of profit in recent months has been at an alarming level, which seems to signal the end of the IEO season. Too many factors for us to stop investing in IEO, buying bitcoin is probably a safer option but not now when bitcoin did not form a new trend, waiting and making additional options as investing in altcoin is probably good right now

To be on a safer side, divide your portfolio into two invest 70% into BTC and the rest on ICO.  Btc is one coin every crypto enthusiast need to have. I have not joined ICO investment anymore. I now trade on exchanges like binance DEX. it's more fun and faster to make a profit than an ICO investment. even now 60% of the money I have I use to trade and 40% I save in BTC.

Invest on the right thing !! Invest  on  Bitcoin. Investing on ico projects doesnt give you guarantee that you will get profit and besides ico project these days are scam. In contrary when you invest in bitcoin there is a high to get profit.

I think that today the market of ico companies has fallen very much and is of no interest to investors.  Although there are possibly cases where an investor can be 100% sure of the prospects of the project and the honesty of the development team.  Then ico company may be interesting for investing.  But today, in most cases, users buy Bitcoin, rather than investing in new projects.

Currently IEO hype is dwindling down,  a good example is Binance IEO,  there is no much huge return as like when the hype was there,  

Investing in the right IEO is more better than bitcoin because you can accumulate more units of bitcoin if the return of investment is high

Investing in ICO projects is very risky but the profit is also great if the project is successful, but if you do not have the knowledge and time to evaluate a good project, I think you Should invest in BTC.

The best alternative for now is definitely BTC. In a few days, the trading volume of the main crypto will increase by multiple times and I am afraid that the Bakkt launch would suppress altcoins growth even more.

I am not really a fan of posting meg thread like list (over 100 pages) But the topic is interesting so I would like to share my thoughts on here.

I think for me it depends on the capital. If I have $10K to spare I won't hesitate to go for bitcoin. But If I have $1K to invest then I might probably go for a potential ICO. I know this would be risky but it's profitable as well If I could choose the appropriate ICO.

I agree with Bitcoin but not with IEO, currently many IEOs are less profitable in my opinion, even though it is held in large exchanges, so buying Bitcoin is a very appropriate thing

Apparently here the answer is obvious! You can participate in projects on the Binance Launchpad and reinsure yourself by buying bitcoin for the long term.

If an ico project is robust and reliable, you can make a very high profit.  However, not all ico projects have these features and can damage you up to 100%. There are always thousands of ico projects on the market and it's hard to find reliable ones so i think the ico investment looks like gambling. You can't always be lucky enough to find a reliable project. So I think bitcoin investment seems to make more sense

I don't think that right now ICOs are a good idea. Maybe IEOs are better, but the only good ones are binance IEOs and those are very hard to get with the lottery system and tickets and all that.

Right now probably the best option is to invest on BTC or strong alts.

The only difference between ICO and IEO is that exchange checks the reliability of the project. The person who invests must decide whether the project will bring profit in the future and take the risk.
There are many interesting projects but the risk is still high. However, I think that if someone does a good analysis, they can find a very profitable ICO/IEO.
Anyway, hodling BTC is also a very good investment.

In my opinion too many ICOs are scams so buying bitcoin is better, if you want to invest in ICO then make sure it reaches softcap so that the project will be done seriously.

Be careful in investing in ICO project simply because there is a success and failed or scam ICO projects. If you looking for good ICO project you should be a good researcher because right now it's hard to distinguish what are a successful project and the failed projects. I have been in here in 2017 and I have seen a lot of ICO who have a successful project but I also see some failed some ICO project and the worse is I experience scam ICO project. Lastly, if you are a good investor you should invest in worthy token just like bitcoin and ethereum.

If you choice right ico, then it may profit more than bitcoin. Choice proper ico is not an easy work, you should work hard, much knowledge about the project, analysis and research the project etc. If you haven’t sufficient knowledge about the project, then you should buy bitcoin which is the most promising and successful coin.

yup.investing in ico is more profitable. but nowaday it's hard to find the persentage of ico promising between 20%, the rest if you choose wrong ending end up ico scam. I prefer BTC as an investment.  if I choose to invest in ico, I better wait the coin to be listed on the exchange market. usually in the early of the sale, price will fall, that's the right time to buy.

Since you're new to all of this, I really recommend you avoid ICO's for now. There's a metric ton of scams out there. It's very easy to lose your investment in ICO's and now is a really good time to buy Bitcoin in my opinion. But, if you do a lot of research and find a promising ICO project, it will probably be more profitable in the long run. It's a risk vs. reward thing. Even Bitcoin isn't completely safe and you could lose out on it if you get in a hurry to sell.
