It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

If you choose the right Ico, ICO is definitely better.
Some ICO have done 100x1000 in a short time. Bitcoin can also make a 100x1000 but the time is longer

Which Ico do you want to invest in? Some icos can make huge profits. Sometimes even stock market prices can be lower.
I think buying a bitcoin would be a better investment. If the price can not exceed 12 thousand dollars, the short term will rise to 15 thousand dolars Smiley

You can do the both things simultaneously. But you must choose right time to buy btc and legit ICO to take part in.

since you are new to this i suggest sticking to bitcoin alone for now and slowly familiarizing yourself with the rest of them and then start first by investing in altcoins that already exist and finally move to higher risk investments such as ICOs.
i think this is a best way of getting involved with this market, slowly and with more caution.

These two platforms are good investment but you are in beginner so don't try ICO investment it is little bit risky compare to Bitcoin. Coins are already launched in the market so we should predict the future possibilities but ICO is little bit tough. Some of the ICOs are make huge profit but not all so you should invest in Bitcoin or some other altcoins this will make good profit for future.

ICOs always earn more. But BTC is always a safe haven. I am keeping ETH for ICOs.

Even after buying a less risky bitcoin, you can lose money. A very potential ICO also can not make a profit.
Since you are a newcomer, do not buy anything. Study and study again. Later you will understand where you like to invest.

If you study and read well the whitepaper of the ICO you've chosen, I suggest you should invest in ICO rather than buying bitcoin but first make sure the ICO you've chosen is legit thatswhy you should read it thoroughly. Also you can do it simultaneously, you can join in an ICO then also buy bitcoin for more chances of having a high profit. Be careful before engaging to bitcoin you can seek experts before engaging.

OP if you are really wise enough to distinguish legit ICO you will not doubt to invest on ICO, if you heard about VLB  token and how is that project trusted because, in their first presale last 2017 they haven't reach the cap because it was high but all of that all of the investment that they have collected they have issued a full refund and the co founder of that Project is awesome, a realistic project. Now They Have Lowered the Cap. While Investing On ICO you do buy BTC and HODL it For Long Term.

its better to invest on ICO, they gave you bonuses when you  invest, but you must choose carefully on what ICO you will invest, its should be promising and there project had high possibility to succeed . Analyze there project and read there whitepaper.

I think ICO is better, for example,LuckyToken is a truly independent, decentralized, and international lottery. For that reason, once the ICO stage of the project had gone through and the platform is launched,we will add multiple payment methods utilizing various cryptocurrencies, national, and international payment services.

Since you are still a newbie and you want to invest your money into digital coins, I think the safest coin would have to be bitcoin. Don't invest in something you are not familiar with or have zero knowledge of it because you might regret it one day. Before in investing some coins including bitcoin, make sure to read about the coin itself and gain more knowledge not just the coin itself but how trading works.

Why you are not 50% buy BTC and 50% invest in ICO, I think thats better you invest in 2 different ways. My suggestion if you want to invest in ICO you must read carefully their white paper and try to learn how to choose nice project for future. Because if ICO success you can earn a lot. Late is better than never.

now not all ICO are successful. and often happens, a decrease in the price of a Token, after entering the market.
because it's better to invest in BTC, at the same time, you have to buy at a bargain price.

Good day! I think you should buy BTC first. How can you join ICOs without btc. There are some ICO accepting cash but majority accept cryptocurrency payment. As for the ICO you might like checking the one I'm wearing. Good project as well. Welcome to the crypto world my friend.

What decision would be right you will understand in some time. over the past six months, bitcoin has grown much more than all the other coins, and if I had bought only bitcoin last spring, my capital would have increased 10 times.  But i bought altcoin for 70% and my profit was 200% (if counting in BTC). But buying only bitcoin, putting all  money in one basket, would be wrong decision, so I would not advise do it!

According to many investors, Bitcoin will be less risky than ICO projects. Bitcoin is the most powerful virtual currency in the market today. So if you invest in them you just worry about prices going up or down. And if the bitcoin price is down then you hold on and wait. But with ICO projects if they do not succeed you can lose all your capital.
