It's a shame, because some of our group buys went without a hitch.  I was looking forward to the momentum.  Alas, there are a lot of disreputable people out there and they stain the reputations of every one "in the business", even the ones who are on the up and up.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Thanks unknown. That's exactly what we were hoping/striving for: hassle free fair GBs that didn't gouge miners. It works well when manufacturers aren't too late.

I just got plain tired of dealing with trolls and some of the bickering within the co-op too, in addition to all the mfg. delays from so many different companies.

In case news: no court this week, looks like it was delayed for some reason but nothing has changed as far as the case we have against them.

I'm calling it.

It's a shame all of my purchases through DZ turned out to be a loss. Not DZ's fault, it just sucks. Not the only group buy I've put money into that's turned out garbage, probably won't be the last.

If any funds are recovered I'm still interested, but I'm not holding my breath.

People in this ActM thread are talking about the HF court case:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=462370.3440

How do you see what's going on? Is it good or bad for us?

Is that DZ's court case or a different one? I can't tell what's going on except not much is being said.

It's a different case, has to do with the insolvency of HF as far as I can see, which would also affect us.

The latest is the Notice of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case, Meeting of Creditors, & Deadlines letter from the US Bankruptcy Court was just received. We dropped the TRO to proceed in CA.

We're going to be an official creditor in this case. Your guess is as good as mine as to what we're going to get out of this. We may be lucky to see 50 cents on the dollar let alone a full BTC refund if the situation's as bad as it looks.

If they can work themselves out of insolvency there's a chance to recover funds.
