No, there is absolutely no possibility of a year in the red. All this will be the process of converting up and down according to the variation from many factors. It could be a small accident at a time. Maybe there will not be too much panic about it.

It all works on market cycle.
2017 was also red what i saw in 2017 is fro APRIL to MID june green and than red until sept 2017
Oct 2017 to mid jan 2018 is green. Its just a cycle
we may see some green from end march or mid April and 2018 will be huge coz lots of money coming in
its all part of accumulation

It's true, the year started badly. But let's not be hamsters. First, corrections are not avoided. The faster and more growth, the longer and deeper the correction will be. I think the growth will be. The question is when it will begin. Now the situation is much better than a month ago, prices are gradually recovering and I am optimistic!

this year I think the 1st half will be red-ish, some up days, more down days, then by June-July timeframe, start upwards into the black.

I dont think so because new innovations like internet of things or IoT and A.I or artificial intelligence based projects are coming this year,it would be massive because new technology and innovations would be implemented with the blockchain technology that is why this year would be the altcoins and ICO's year you are already seeing this fact today.

I think the less focused and useful elements will start losing market share. The real useful currencies and projects will begin to gain real market share, not just investor interest. Maybe in the near future the junk will start to fall away and we can get some meaningful adoption. It hasn't happened yet except for with smart contract projects.

 Other than that, I think from now until May will be a gradual upwards trend, with a huge run up in May and June. July will be unstable and August will be a pullback. Rinse and repeat the same cycle from September to December/January.

To me it doesn't really make sense that the market will be in the red across the whole year. Unless there are some major changes in terms of regulations etc. 2017 was the best year yet in many ways and crypto is now the biggest it's ever been in terms of global exposure. Given that it would be a big turnaround for 2018 to be a negative year.

yep , only fear is FUDs by media on regulation related news ,
banks banning card usage or closing accounts ,
some more countries may ban it completely .

Everyone expects crypto spring and whales know this. It's possible the market will be dumped at this time and growth isn't going  in early summer or in the autumn or else at the end of year

I would say that this year will be redder than the previous one, but this does not mean that it will be all the time red, it's in regulation and it's obvious

I think in a fledgling industry like crypto we have to get accustomed to red days. Growth will be hard and painful, but the blockchain tech is a game-changer. In my opinion, if you hodl over the longer term you will be a lot richer than you are now. I, for one, won't be selling anytime soon (even after a red day).

I don't expect the red to last all year, but I don't think we're out of yet or by the end of the month. Here's hoping for another run in the spring! Great time to buy now at least.

We have noticed that the bitcoin is getting more stable so sideways means the altcoins would grow,ICOs would be more profitable this year because there are a lot of new upcoming ICOs that will change what we have now,IoT or internet of things and artificial intelligence projects would be the new innovation to our community.

I do not expect the entire year of 2018 to be dominated by red. Prices will fall and the process of rising will follow each other. At the end of December 2018, we will see that the total market cap is growing.
