Our next step is to build our own Cryptonight based mining algorithm to prevent botnets, malware, and rental mining services, this already makes us unique, but we will implement further improvements over time, our current roadmap is visible at http://alloyproject.org/#roadmap By the way the question about roadmap. Why isn't there a date? It plans for the 2018 or 3018 of the year?  |

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

But wasn't Alloy CryptoNight/CryptoNote even before? I'm mining it since some weeks with cryptonight algo... So what's the change?
I downloaded the new ver 2.2.0 and having this errore continuosly even if the balance seems to look correct:
2018-Mar-02 03:55:26.200844 WARNING CHECKPOINT FAILED FOR HEIGHT 15261. EXPECTED
HASH: 4009419ee181ef6ec47baaf7ab5bb2c5f251e0ddfd24af9eba6dfa77be01bec2, FETCHED

You can ignore those warnings. They are generated from the older clients on the network.
We are still on cryptonight but plan to move to a custom POW algorithm in the future.
At block 17500, we will activate the new miner fairness algorithm (new diff algo) to make it easier for smaller miners to compete with nice hash, etc. |

If you are having problems with version 2.2, try re-syncing your block chain by deleting the contents of %appdata%\alloy and relaunching the wallet.
Your block height should match : http://alloyexplorer.com/

I'm having problem with the new wallet. My ballance is not appear. Wallet is not able to fully sync too. The new version of the wallet does not show coins that were previously on the balance sheet. All the same as in this post. How can I fix this? If you are having problems with version 2.2, try re-syncing your block chain by deleting the contents of %appdata%\alloy and relaunching the wallet.
