Sold all the coins to Newar again, before the weekend. That's good for 46 bags. I need 4 more to make it 50. Who else wants to donate for the 4 bags? Smiley
How much?
Edit: Fuck it, 1 BTC donated.

PayPal and Bitcoins don't really mix that well, you know. The money might possibly get "stuck" somewhere. And it's easy enough for me to find local buyers and even within the region; Newar got the 1 again for a good rate (considering the volatility.)

He has what we call "Charity Rate" which uses Mt. Gox and rounds up the small numbers, at the time of sending the fiat. (Only applicable to donated funds.)

So I'm getting the 50+ bags (for donations) this week.

Again, I am not likely to see any actual bags since they are probably sitting in their warehouse ready to go out as soon as someone has paid for them. But this time, I'll take a couple of pics of me inside the walk-in-center as I do the transaction.

I'll go look at coinpal.nl though, thanks!

1st coins sold, good for 44 bags.
2nd coin sold, good for 15 bags.
Total recent batch of coins, total good for 59 bags. When I buy it this week, the company will add +10 as matching bonus.

Keep em comin!

Due to the craziness of the bitcoin roller coaster ride the past couple of days, my transaction has not yet confirmed. Although I have assured the buyer, it will eventually confirm, as I use the bitcoin-qt client which reminds you if you really need to include a transaction fee.

In any case, I will include a little bit fees in the future, deducted from the total.

I finally was able to go to the NuSkin Center and put in the order for 59 bags. +10 corporate matching bonus = 69 bags * 30 meals = 2,070 meals.

As promised, here are some pictures with a one liner or two explanation.

I'll start with some pics of me and my kids. doing some other transaction in a local bank.

Dabs and his son

Dabs Daughter

Then some unrelated business inside a bank, I notice they were all gearing up to donate relief goods to the victims of the super typhoon.

Inside Bank

Inside Bank, packing stuff

Inside Bank, more stuff

Inside Bank, Dabs posing

I just posed. I have no connection to the goods there other than I'm a client of the bank.

Now, to the actual transaction itself.

Inside NuSkin Center, Dabs selfie

Inside NuSkin Center, counting payment

Inside NuSkin Center, preparing order

And finally, the result.

Vitameal bought Nov 22 2013

Includes a little thank you post card signed by the President of Indonesia / Philippines. The signature looks mass produced or printed, but he can't personally sign everything.

I decided to add a few more pictures of something I did way back in July.

Dabs with 290,000 PHP (valued at 67 BTC when it was $100 USD per BTC)
Dated 2013-07-31

290,000 Philippine Pesos in cold hard cash

a check totalling 3.3 million Philippine Pesos (could have bought 800 BTC then.)

Almost a million Philippine Pesos

Was worth 232 BTC then.

Now, they are worth less. I mean, they are worth 6 or 7 times less since the value of BTC has gone up the roof.

Explanation:

I hold large amounts of cash, that is NOT MY MONEY.
I sign checks that is NOT MY MONEY. I can sign, I am a signatory.
I have the passwords to the corporate bank account of the company I work for.
I am responsible for the payroll of over 180 employees. I have access to their money before it gets sent to them.

This implies, at any point in time, I can run away and disappear with 1000 (one thousand) bitcoins worth but this is in cold hard cash, or checks that I can turn into cash.

Now, some of you may be thinking, "oh no, someone is going to follow Dabs around and mug him when he has cash." now that these pictures are on the internet.

And oh, those pictures of the cash, have been around since July, so ... ... (okay, it's part of my bid for the fund raising being done by Phin, and I'm trying to be a forum treasurer too, hehehe.)

The same could be said about Roger Ver and Mark Vernon (who is now staying in the Philippines). They both have a lot more coins than I do, fiat and bits.

Well, no one knows when that will be. And when I get an assignment, I will of course be prepared for such and have a contingency plan.

Usually, it's shoot now, ask questions later. If I'm holding 4 million in cash, and someone attempts to grab it from me, I don't need to think much about it and just go into instinct mode.

(Did I mention I carry a government model 1911 in .45 ACP everywhere?)

I have those, somewhere, offline. But they are NSFW, too bloody. Both my kids were caesarean section. I'll look for a tame looking pic.

I was just thinking of an awesome idea by which anyone could contribute

1. Find an altcoin pool with good mining profit.
2. Make some simple .zip files that can be opened and mined from.
3. Let people contribute by spending their memory on it.
4. Convert the money to bitcoin and then to Pesos.

Optional :
Make a worker with each person who signs up to see contributor amounts.

So , how does that sound ?

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

Dabs I'd say you've earned yourself a Hive app.

What do you want in yours? Sean's Outpost looks like this:

First, why are people who can't even feed THEMSELVES making children? This is ridiculous. Nobody EVER addresses the root of the problem...
Well, I can't answer that one. They are all over the world. But it's not the fault of the child, at least in this world, I think. Only in fantasy do you find dragons that take revenge on your grandchildren because they can still smell your blood.

Well it's not that easy...what about if they had jobs/money when they were planning children, then later they lost it - this could happen to a lot of reasons...and so now they don't have means to feed children. Just think if you were in that position. Children don't deserve that, it's not their fault. Anyway Dabs, what you do is a very good and noble thing. Continue to do so...
