reading whitepapers is a great source of information for new people to the cryptospace, alot of these concepts seem very not needed sometimes I recommend you new folks to read Mybit whitepaper it will definetely open your eyes to a few pockets of the blockchains usage with certain sectors of the cryptosphere.

Anybody else has a couple of informative whitepapers, that opened your eyes to a certain technology or undervalued market or just good information?
Im about to read deeponion's!

Most white papers are either too technical to provide a good view to the average user or just business plans that are too conventional to convey any information that can be considered objetive.
The whitepaper is the guide on how the project goes as you can find the roadmap. So, this is really a must to read to all investors if you want to know the goal of the team. Somehow, most people are too lazy to read and just rely on the supporters around the project.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

From my point of view, Reading whitepapers is a must when you want to find a good project. By reading whitepapers, we can know the project concept, road, business plan, and potential future projects.

The White Papers are rarely white papers. They all just pretend to have a serious study and even a philosophy like the one that Satoshi created for Bitcoin, but they rarely do.

The first thing I do when I get acquainted with a new project is study WhitePaper. Only there you can find all the necessary information about the project, including the Idea, Team, Prototype, Token Sale and much more.
You can definitely drown in the whitepaper if you're not careful. Focus on the team as well. They are the people leading the project and should be a good indicator of what direction the project might be headed.

I would recommend reading the bitcoin white paper and the ethereum whitepaper.  There are a lot of gems in it. I read them many times now and everytime I read, there are things that I learned which I didn't noticed from the previous reads. Lately I've been interested with techinical papers like zk-snarks and equihash. I find them truely amazing to read.

Reading white paper is very helpful,  beneficial  on us.  It can give us information  that we can use in doing or participating  in bounty  and joining any signature campaign.  It widens our knowledge in world of cryptocurrency. It can use as a weapon to  scammers.

The whitepaper is important to be read, especially if you are considering in Investing in a project. It needs to be thoroughly analyzed if you are a serious investor. It is the guide on how the project goes as you can find the roadmap. So, this is really a must to read to all investors if you want to know the goal of the team. Somehow, most people are too lazy to read and just rely on the supporters around the project. If you don't read the whitepaper then you are most probably not a serious investor and just plan on participating in a bounty or airdrop for the free tokens.

for those who are new in this market I recommend to start from reading articles, because it is written in a more simple language than whitepaper, but before investing of course you should read whitepaper.

I have met several guys that decided to invest in ICOs even without opening whitepaper! How? What are they thinking about? I do not think they are those millionaires, who just do it for fun. always read whitepaper thoroughly.

Whitepaper is the first document I read when i learn another one ICO project. Unfortunately, there are not many quality papers. Some of them are really have very low quality. When I read the whitepaper I want to see main idea of the project, hard and soft cap, key dates, and perspectives to the society.

Not reading white paper is like one who is about starting a journey without a destination. It is very important to read the white paper as one would be well guided based on the information therein. Reading white paper would expose one to knowing about the project,it's road map, team behind the project, etc It is possible to know if a project will succeed or not by just reading the WP. So this vital part of the entire process shouldn't be taken with levity.
