Again, I'm just pointing out some facts and as I've already said, everyone has to do his own research and can make his own conclusion, I'm just trying to give some warnings and try to let people know that crypto is not always as legit as it seems to be. I saw it thousands times on Twitter, with those scammers offering back ETH as giveaway for the ones who send first 0.5 ETH. You will say it's too big to be scammed like that but you will be surprised to see how much they get on their wallet.

Also, it's the first time I see a fork starting with ERC20 tokens. A fork generally give coins to the holders of the forked coins.

Agree.  For me personally, this is one of the biggest red flags of all.  However, starting as an ERC20 token and moving to their own coin is not unheard of.  It's just very unusual for an idea that hasn't established itself yet.

The problem is not about starting with an ERC20 tokens, it's about the distribution. A fork is not an ICO, so why an airdrop? If it's real, giving more LTCP to regular people for free than the LTC holders is wrong.

And for anyone who wants to know, It takes literally 20 mn to create his own ERC20 token. So anyone without a real project can do this and pretend there is a project behind.

For anyone that doesn't know, I hope they take the time to read this post you made more than anything else.  I can't believe there are still people investing real and hard earned money into crypto that don't know how easy it is to do this.

Again, I feel terrible for the good people who get scammed.  Especially new people who are still trying to learn.  I know people have been told a million times but, DO NOT INVEST MONEY YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE.  This is a dirty game right now and it's only going to get dirtier until people learn lessons the hard way by getting scammed.  People need to use their heads more and emotions less.  Especially greed.

All of that said, I absolutely see the points you're making and they make sense.  I just don't think this is a scam.  I think it's a terribly run, unorganized great idea.  If it should somehow get to $10 I will be very happy all the way to the bank.  If it gets to $1 I'll be happy.  If it is a scam and goes to 0 sat I will say, "Oh well" and move on because it's so dirt cheap that it's not worth stressing over.  So, I guess I'm kind of looking at this project as a can't lose...even if I do.

The idea is great. But I don't know what happened exactly. Maybe it is a scam from the beginning, maybe the devs exit during the project.. But read my previous post, it's easy to know, just ask Paul Miller (the supposed CEO) on Twitter if he knows about this project..

Also, I've done some more research and I can say now that 2 of the scammers are posting on this topic (even if I think it's the same person, using 2 different usernames). And I can give the details. So be careful and don't trust anyone without checking anything by yourself first.

I think all of this is a big scam.

I've done some research about it. First, the supposed Paul Miller left the team and the Telegram group and we have no news about anything.

Then this new website with the team pics http://ltc-private.org . Try to save the 3 pics and see what happens.

The name of the pics contain different name : Michael, Luke and Will.

I've done a research on the images and I found this site https://eosdac.io

Scroll down and you will see the same team with different names.

And the whois check on ltc-private.org website show the following details :

But not smart at all. I looked at their profile and their posts.

The 2 profiles was created on February 24, 2018, 07:26:38 PM and February 24, 2018, 07:24:49 PM. Just 2 minutes between the two creations.

Look now at their old posts. All the topics are about forks and airdrop with the same methods (by giving the chainCode). And everytime, those 2 scammers (or just 1) are posting on the same topic, fake thanking each other.

They gave this answer on April 3. They said they don't have any Facebook or twitter profile that involved their real name. But Paul Miller has a profile with a picture... Anyway, I've sent him a message. I will let you know..

I would STAY AWAY from this project at all costs. Over 1/3 of the total coin supply was "Airdropped" to themselves. Notice how their airdrop only ran for a few days and the only accounts that are claiming they received their airdrops are brand new accounts? This is most likely another Yobit backed scam coin

Additionally, their team members are not real people. There is no mention on the web of anyone named Victor Lavoie except for someone who passed away in 2014. However, nothing connected to this name and anything blockchain or crypto related can be found on the web

Hello, I don't see where you got that 1/3 of the total supply was airdropped to us. The cut that we are keeping is 1% and that is how it will stay. We do currently hold a larger supply, however this is for the second airdrop we will hold after the fork on 21st of April, with the second airdrop likely being held in May. There are not only newbie members and there were nearly 5000 people that received the airdrop, even then it is understandable why most people would be newbie members, even your account is a newbie member.

It is not hard to realize why a coin that promotes and focuses on privacy so much doesn't have team members that have public profiles everywhere. We are huge advocates of privacy, both on the web and real life and are very, very careful about making public facebook or twitter profiles that involve our real names. Even then we wanted to have some level of transparency and provided people with our real names, so that we can go on blockchain conferences in the future and people recognize us, among other things. As for yobit, it is a cheap exchange to get listed. Most exchanges are incredibly expensive to get even listed in the first place, however we have plenty of other exchanges such as Octaex or Kkcoin, with more coming both before and after the fork, so it's not like yobit is our only exchange if you don't like it.
