Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Nice, good luck with sales. Wish I had some cash to buy one but all my money was wasted on Friedcat products.

Cool. Nice job and great professional announcement. Unfortunately too expensive, IMHO.

This is old Avalon tech? Is the stuff about it being way too late for old Avalon chips to ROI just FUD?

In the K16 threads everyone seems to have decided some time ago those old chips are useless/worthless now. Are they wrong?

Very nicely done! I've known mrb for quite a while, and I expected no less from him.

This is how you launch an asic.

If you have to pay for power, these units will never make ROI in BTC. If you have free power, will just barely make a ROI on the 15 btc you pay for them. The biggest hit is the loss in when they ship and how long. That week is going to be 1/6-1/4 of the units lifetime earning probably.

Now if BTC/$ goes way up you'll be ok $$ wise but not in BTC.

assuming you got these in your hand Oct 6 the next diff jump guess.

  • We can prove we ordered 10,000 Avalon chips, which were used to build our Redhash miners. We sent 782.1 BTC from our address 1AAoyFmZuUbVpNUJFCCSJbZQSvSRm8vPad to Bitsyncom’s temporary address 1H9whoZUz1iNyBagMUrudw3AnoRqLHKpH5 on April 21, 2013.
Well I have to recognize that 27 Redhash x320 chips=8640 chips paid for 675.73BTC.

mrb is selling 27@15 Redhash for a total start price of 405BTC so a 270BTC loss!

It is therefore a good price, if you want to support a company who does not take preorders, which I think is the best way to go when doing business selling asics!

In the like of burnin:

To any of the "he gets rich" screamers - revenue of this venture so far: about -20.000eur + 4 Months of Work.  Undecided
Not that those people will believe any of my words.

320 chips @ 0.078 / each = 24.96 BTC.  I think condolences are in order.

Why run it in an auction format and not just fix a price for sale?   I would think you want these units sold asap.

Question
:  Are you mining with units that will be auctioned currently?

Hosting: Low as $60.00 per KW - Link

Shipping

We ship worldwide, from southern California, USA. We will accommodate whatever shipping carrier you request at the time of payment: UPS, Fedex, US Postal Service, etc. Shipping is free (included in your bid) when using standard shipping (UPS/Fedex for destinations in the USA, and US Postal Service for worldwide destinations). If you request some sort of expedited shipping, you will be asked to pay for shipping in addition to paying your auction bid.

Question

They offered their eligius statistics as proof that the units exist and are functional.

2,951 (GH/s) / 105 (GH/s / unit) = 28 units.
