Making today's last run to USPS in 30

canary, any word on the cube price and specs?
If rumors pan out than it would be about 3x the spec of a blade and overclockable in software?  There's no other info. As usual, friedcat will make his post/announcement on forums for all to see.

I found a little more info  :

 2 btc
30-38gh
 120 watts

there is a site in Canada taking pre orders..

http://www.wtcr.ca/catalog/product/bm-ambec-01

and a German thread mentions 120 watts.  My German is not that good so the 120 watts may be an error.

the german thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=245990.msg3465116#msg3465116

and in reading it again the 120 watts may be wrong

I have to say that a 2btc cube that is usb plug n play and is 30-38gh will sell.  Even if it is more like 220 watts vs 120 watts.

Canary sounds like you have some blades to sell Smiley  With the cube coming out soon would you be willing to discount an order of 10 blades?

its already for sale on ebay, although very expensive, 3 blades are cheaper. Going forward anything over $10/GH is not worth it, next diff is already at 505 and growing.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-CUBE-ASICMiner-30GH-s-to-38GH-s-not-block-erupter-blade-asic-BTC-fpga-gpu-/200983367706?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ecb8ad01a

I got a third hub today. It is up and running .  I was able to get 3 hubs to run on my asus maximus V gene motherboard .

I am running  121 sticks on bitminter total of 41gh.

It is very hard to load all those sticks.   Kind of fun to push limits on one pc.  I believe I will get up to 135 sticks on the 3x  49 port hubs.

YOU CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT  A PCIE  CARD WITH USB 2.0 PORTS

THIS  low cost one allowed me to run  2 hubs with 85 sticks.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026I4DZ2/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I believe this card can run                 3x         49 hubs with about 120 sticks. >>>>>>  must be under the  127  devices per limit.

I believe the mobo's  usb ports can run 3x 49 port hubs with about 120 sticks. >>>>>>> must be under the the 127 devices per port limit

This means I could do about 240 sticks on this setup.

photos later.

It is fun isn't it? I'm using computer PSU's to power things I never thought I would lol. And my computer looks like Frankenstein with things plugged in all over the place.

I do have a question for you though. How easy do you think it would be to wire a 5v PSU into an ATX connector for these hubs. And do you think it would actually work? A PSU like this for example:

http://www.circuitspecialists.com/hf300w-s-5.html

I think you see where I am going with this...2 hubs on 1 PSU...

Just for the sake of clarity, the limit of 127 devices is per host controller, not per port.

I don't know for sure how many host controllers are on that main board, but I believe there are 3 of them, not counting any added PCI cards.

mining @ http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1PLCBv4fcXMzWPMJUJCcBiguB33iPe8axn
shall see how this turns out. have 8 "extras" going to try and sell off for paypal at a markup.....hubs i planned on using them are not handling them very nice
quick update...not sure what changes i made (moved a bunch of cables around...pretty much) but all 57 are now hashing and powered by the 30amp 5volt (along with a usb wifi card)  and some 12v miners. power supply is a champ!
pulled one of the usb miners out today. was looking over stats on bfgminer had 1.7% HW errors with 1.1% of it being from one USB that was running a 50 % error rate - will check this chip out on a different computer but seems to be the chip :/
two blades plugged in and hashing 165 watts according to the killawatt
think i need to add a second fan to each blade
(edit: dare i say these blades are also champs? one 80mm low speed/noise fan each just barely warm to the touch and "22.5 minutes   20.98 Gh/s")

and second set of blades are up and running.

thanks for the 3 smooth transactions. roughly 60GH added to the network to replace my old 3200mh fpga setup

just screw in the wires. remember red is positive, black negative. But you can buy 1/2 that price on ebay
