One good thing about this airdrop is Coinmarketcap say IGNIS is now worth $4, while NXT is currently traded at $1.32
So even if price of NXT dropped after the snapshot, you'll have IGNIS that is worth 3x of NXT
So I guess theres nothing to loose on participating on this air drop but instead more to gain

Not really,  futures doesn't mean anything yet, plus there will be drop in Ignis price as wel, I got them for free and during ICO when NXT been around 0.10-0.12 cent, so do the math, people going to dump hard, garantee. So if you participating at last moment, you are gonna wait couple months for a rebound to get even. Some of the new ones got in NXT at ATH 1.99 and now trying to get some suckers on board, you gotta love cryptospace nowadays Fascinating:)

IGNIS distribution
The total amount of IGNIS coins issued will be equal to half of the amount of NXT coins existing on the Nxt blockchain at the time of the Ardor Genesis Snapshot, plus 500 M (five hundred million).

Half of the IGNIS coins will be reserved and distributed automatically to the NXT holders based on their account balances at the time of the Ardor Genesis Snapshot, at 1 NXT = 0.5 IGNIS ratio.

The other half of the IGNIS coin supply was partially used by Jelurida to conduct a successful IGNIS Token Sale over a period of three months (Aug 05 - Nov 04), collecting 167 M NXT, which were partially converted to fiat, Bitcoin, and Ardor. As of the end of the token sale, the total proceeds were over $15 000 000. These funds will be used for the further development, maintenance, advancement and world-wide promotion of the Nxt and Ardor blockchain platforms, as well as protecting the intellectual property of the code base.

The token sale was conducted on the Nxt blockchain platform, using a "controllable currency" called JLRDA. For 1 JLRDA token the participants in the ICO will receive 1 IGNIS coin at the time of the Ardor Genesis Snapshot. Got my NXT too. Bought at 12.5k btc price. Ignis is currently playing at $5 level. Rumors is that Ignis holders will also receive Swift tokens too. I think these are all worth it.

Actually nxt is have a good long term projects and in the current price now it is due to bitcoins volatility movement the pricr is so unpredictable, if you've enter the ride its good but if your in the middle because of this dumping just wait and claim your chance in the ignis airdrop.

I agree with this, Jelurida posted on their site and tweeted that "A-Trust GmbH starts a Blockchain Project for Austrian City Halls based on Nxt". They also shared that by this month (December) a prototype of the enterprise application using NXT Blockchain technology will be ready so 2018 will be a great year for NXT.

Bittrex haven't locked trading, not yet.

They certainly have for me, at the time of my post I already couldn't place an order.

Edit: ah wait, the thing had logged me out without showing it. I was getting errors when placing orders, re-logged and it worked...
They just have locked access to NXT from wallet, how dumb is it to just restrict that?

What trading platform are you using? I am using Bittrex and I can still place a Buy and Sell order. What Bittrex did was lock any external Withdrawals and Deposits of NXT. Are you using the NXT wallet itself and you plan to transfer to another wallet? I think that kind of transaction for now is on hold but trading NXT is still working.

It is so not gonna protect you.

But let's take the bet - please post, once done, the gap between your stop order price & the price at which it actually sold. It'll be quite interesting for everyone. We will also compare this to the rebound price (if any).
It'd be interesting to do some stats, if others wanna share their sell price, whether it's manual or automatic. Obviously some will be lucky & be at the top of the stop loss cascade. Some won't.

I don't have much invested, I may be testing both stop loss & manual sell, I'll see what worked best, as an experiment.
And, perhaps some here have ALREADY sold thanks to their stop order placed too high. Would be interesting to know as well.
